A little while ago I mixed up a 50ml batch of RWHY4. (A derivative of the recipe tc1 posted.) Poured it into a new 60ml bottle (that I just got today) and put it into the UC. After about the 4th cycle, for some reason, I decided to look at it. Well, apparently, I didn't have the cap on tight enough. Soup anyone? On the plus side, I also successfully completed my first protank coil rebuild today. (Even if it does have one too many wraps.) Next time, next time. Got the second 50ml batch going now (smaller plastic bottles) and am checking the caps after EACH cycle. What, me paranoid? Nah, just overly cautious.

You may want to think about switching to glass bottles if you’re steeping in a UC. Plastic (Especially soft plastic bottles) absorb the radio waves making it less efficient. Glass allows the waves to pass through easily making steeping far more efficient. Unfortunately it will not solve your leaking problem if the caps are loose:)

Bummer. I've wondered about caps vibrating loose in a UC.

I use boston round 30ml and 5ml brown glass bottles and never had a cap come loose and my 5ml test bottles are usually completely submerged in the water.

If you don't mind plastic, centrifuge tubes are what I work with all the time. You can mix in them like a graduated cylinder the go straight to a steep, same container. If I just need juice and don't feel like getting out all the glass syringes and etc., I just whip up a batch by pouring all the component liquids into the tube and measure based on the tube markings. Then I tape the livin' poop out of the screw on tops. But the tubes have quite a few threads so this is just added insurance.

But, I must say, what Danny said is very true. Glass, ultimately is the way to do it.

Go look at this site and see if any of their glass appeals to you. (They got bottles and lab glass and plastic. Sale is on for a couple of more days.
