eGo Fresh Batt Charge, and 4-5hrs off primary batt

LR 510 Atty: ~7 days old.

Atty appears entact in all respects.. including the ring at the threaded batt side..

Been vaping same flavor all day: reduced PG, blueberry 24mg from DIYFS

Switched to another DIYFS RPG 24mg juice to see if it was the juice.. it is not, same juices produces ample vapor on 5v PT

Noticed a serious drop in vapor.

pulled drip tip and gave it a look see... looked fine. Blew it out from both ends.. reprimed.. still producing poor vapor

Blew again.. did a few dry burns.. can see coil glowing evenly after 2sec on the button. reprimed... still poor vapor production

Rinsed atty out under gently running hot water... blew out from both ends extensively... did enough dry burns to see coil glowing orange after 2sec button bursts.... still poor vapor production...

Im at a loss atm... the coil seems to be glowing hot and rapidly as it should.. but vapor production is well well below 5v PT, and well well below what i remember this atty producing just yesterday.

Any idea on whats wrong here?

Well as i understand LR attys they are ment for 3.7 volt devices and not 5v.
also it is not advised to use them on stock batteries. you need a 3.7 volt battery like a 14500 battery mod device.

for comparison have you tried to vape a VG juice?
if this is indeed a LR atty and you did use it on 5v you may not ever have a good experience on 3.7 again with that atty.

from the sounds of things and what you tried i would believe it to be a battery or voltage issue.

As I understand it, $hua is using the LR 510 atty on the 3.2V eGO and comparing it to the performance of a regular 510 atty on a 5V passthrough.

Atomizers are the most delicate and finicky component of a PV ... and the quality control (if that term is even applicable to the e-cig industry) leaves a lot to be desired. You may simply have a mediocre atomizer. Also, on average, LR attys have a shorter lifespan than regular ones.

I recently received two LR 801 attys from the same supplier. One died completely after three puffs; the other is still going strong after two weeks. Go figure!

FYI: I'm not convinced that all that dry burning and washing helps (rather than aggravates) atomizer performance. My advice: blow out an atomizer regularly, keep it constantly moist, and hope for the best (and keep at least a couple in reserve).

[Oh, BTW, what do Role Playing Games (i.e., your reference to "DIYFS RPG") have to do with all this?:D]
