I don't think I would patronize a shop that would charge money to use the juice bar to sample their flavors.

I would them not even have one and simply say they don't offer samples at this time.

I have 4 different vape shops within 25min driving from my house. All offer free juice bars to try their flavors. They also have lounges to hang out with other vapors and 3 if them have tv's with sports going. I guess I'm lucky where I live.

Yeah, exaxtly. I hang out at one particular vape shop as I know all of the staff and some of the cutomers too. Sometimes I try some juice, and sometimes I don't. But I certainly would not pay for the priveledge. Nor would I buy anything there if I were to be charged.

I have 2 stores where I'm at...and the main one I generally go to, just sort of stopped having juice samples....I asked why and was told the store owner doesn't want to do it anymore....and it's the main reason I've been going to that particualar store (also because it's close), but I guess I'll start going to the other one now, since they are a "Cafe"

Charging for samples is utterly ridiculous, the owner has no idea what (s)he's doing.

His/her/their business will fail if they continue this policy.

Sadly, many unscrupulous people see vaping as a get-rich-quick start-up, and do their best to cash in. And rightly so, their ignorance and greed nail their coffin shut.

No need to make a big deal out of this. I'd be surprised if their doors are still open three months from now.

Being able to taste the juice before buying it is the main reason I was so happy that a vape shop finally opened up close to home.

Waiting all that time for new flavors to come in the mail, then trying them out, thinking I liked one, filling a carto or clearo, then realizing it just didn't taste like I thought it did (I never have gotten the hang of dripping) was so frustrating. It's definitely one of the reasons I believe it took me so long to completely switch to vaping and quit the smoke completely.

Maybe that shop knows their juice just isn't that good? Plan on making their real money on equipment. If I knew that if people tried it they wouldn't buy it, I would charge them to try it too.

I don't see how this is any different from online vendors that do not send out free samples. Technically. From a customer stand point I get it, but then I bet you shop online with vendors that do not give you a free sample with your orders right?

Don't get me wrong, I am not disagreeing with you. The point I am trying to make is that if these vendors want to help boost their reputation more quickly, they can do so by giving out free samples with each order. Same as the B&M's allowing you to come in and try out their liquids for free. :)

Have to say I was a bit disappointed when provape didn't send me a sample with my provari. I spent over 200 bucks on a provari and pila you would think that would be good for at least a tiny bottle. Still a satisfied customer of course so maybe that's what they count on.

Provari sends piece of mind with every mod for free.

That just seems nuts to charge for sampling. Heck, around the wineries here you can sample for free.
I was going to use wineries as an example. Some do free sampling, but others charge say $5 which goes off the bill if you buy anything.
It's an individual thing across the wine estates, and growing regions, some charge, some do not.
They look at consumption vs sales in the end to work out whether to charge or not I guess. If they are losing out or if all the other local wineries are doing it, they charge but it's used as credit towards purchases.
If during a festival they normally just sell you the glass as a souvenir. If not during a festival, most people just take the glass anyway :D

E: Ha ha, charge but keep the clearo would be a good idea, as who wants to use a s/h clearo anyway.

Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
I've only been in a few B&M's, but they've all had all their juices pre-filled in tanks (usually attached to an Ego or something similar) and disposable drip tip covers. Put on a tip condom and try it out. Use your own Mod or the Ego they provide. Simple.
Yeah, that's what I see at all the B&Ms I've been in. I just can't fathom the reasoning behind charging people for the tasting. It isn't sound business practice.

Don't be disappointed. They sent me two samples and they weren't good. I mean, just bleccch.
