i lived in the haight from 1997 - 2001. man, those days were something else... in fact, i'm going to call one of my old roommates right now. what a fantastic city and fantastic time of my life. (*sigh*)
The coughing is caused by your lungs starting to clear the crap that's accumulated in them from the smoking. I strongly advise against using analogs to supress this. You want this. It will get better

You are right this is a great Forum, people here are Great along with Don's BWB Jc. Someone else already mention it but they are right the coughing after stopping smoking is normal, bringing up all kinds of junk I am sure. That happens in the beginning but It will go away in a while.
