North of Point Conception (the elbow of California) is more parallel to the wave so there are tsunami warning there. South of the elbow we just have advisories.

They were pretty accurate for Hawaii so we will see. They bays here are the biggest concern. The currents from the surge in the bays can get pretty strong. We had some boats come off their moorings after the quake in Chile last year.

Scary as hell!

When I was three, we took shelter from a tornado in a house, which had a basement. The power went out just before it came through, & it was terrifying. It sounded like a hundred trains converging on us all at once. The house wasn't hit directly, but was basically unlivable. The roof & all the windows were gone, & the contents of the house were everywhere. I can only imagine how horrific a huge wall of water would be. There is no shelter from a tidal wave like that one.

On a brighter note... I just found a small bottle of Malty last night that the wife had accidentally put away with a bunch of old nasty brews from another supplier.

Nothin better than a good vape buzz from some well aged BWB Malty! lol I don't know how but I gotta put this stuff down for a bit.

Dang...you must be living right Vaps....and/or you have an excellent wife too.:)

Some boat damage in Santa Cruz with the surge.

It seems I'm okay here. But I had the cat carrier, leash, and car ready. Sashwa the cat is not happy being stuck in the carrier for the time being. Ben the dog is trying to figure out why she is locked up.

They don't understand its better to be safe than sorry Sash

I know. Now Ben keeps trying to open the carrier up for Sashwa. I keep telling him that she is going to stay in there until they end the watch/warning.

But he did take the opportunity to go eat up all her food that I forgot to pick up when I went outside. As soon as I came back in (I was out there less than 3 minutes) while he was at her dish his ears went sideways and he ran and hid in his crate cause he knows he's not suppose to eat her food. I didn't even have to say anything to him.
