one thing to remember on the lower ohms, say from 2.0 to 1.8 to 1.5, is that the device you use has a significant effect as well. each device carries its own resistance.
ie, using 1.5 ohm on the reo grand and its perfection (for me). put that same atty/batt into a silver bullet and its much too hot, as the SB has less resistance in the unit itself than the grand does.

the man makes an excellent point here...unfortunately this is where a bit of trial and error will come in to play since the amount of resistance is inconsistent from PV to PV.

I have ohm's law tattoo'd on my left forearm, lol! I have always been pretty interested in electronics, too bad though I gave it up years ago just after high school. I should bust out my TTL cookbook and give it a look through again, it's something that has always facinated me, and of course now I am in school to become a RN, lol!

I believe the standard Joye 650mAH battery runs at around 3.4volts? But, I am not sure. I do plan on eventually buying a VV, thought about buying a cheaper box VV in the classifieds but I decided to hold out for some wood :)

So, I guess the only thing I can do now is exactly what you said earlier Phorbin, experiment.

Ok lets do a little sorta survey. What atomizers and Cartomizers is everyone using the most of? Im trying to decide what to carry. Ive seen alot say the Boge 510d cartomizers are good and im sure other than the 306 LR's I have the 510 LR would probably be best.

I could use --

A Three Musketeers, and a ball point pen, one of those combs there, a pint of Old Harper, a couple of flashlight batteries and some beef jerky...

oh you will not be disappointed.. best of the best imho.... if you don't like them just send them my way...lol

Haha, I am just thrilled to try out LR without a carto - should be quite an experience!

I just found a thread on a method of resurrecting dead atty's and it WORKED! My atty count went from 3 to 9, which has me doing an irish jig!

Seems to me if a person bought a VV device, you'd eliminate atty resistance issues. You could then concentrate on what atty had the other characteristics you desire.

Exactly ~ and in fact the lower the resistance, the faster the battery charge depletes. And with VV you can dial each of Don's Brews to optimize their flavor potential. For me I couldn't go back to a fixed voltage.

This may sound OT so let me phrase it correctly :p

In order to optimize the flavor of Don's brews, which VV mod would you recommend that is cylindrical in shape like the Ego and has 510 connections. No offense to box mods

Dang, why am I even asking about mods

If you look at the bottom of Wharfs posts..or mine....I'd have to say that is my answer to your question. So simple, yet variable.
My Buzz changed my vaping experience so much that I can use juice I didn't care for before at 3.7v or less. It almost paid for itself in that alone and the fact that I could use old cartos that I had thought were now junk. What a savings that became as well. Plus the customer service is just the greatest.:thumb:

Right, and I'm concerned that (as should be pretty obvious) a lot of vapers don't have a clue about battery issues - example, I wouldn't be using a 1.5 atty on a 14500 cell (I'm assuming this would far exceed safe amp draw.) LR atties were created to allow 18650 usage I've always assumed, but I'm pretty sure people are using them on much smaller cells. These comments for traditional Li-ion cells, not the newer, safer chemistries.

I got 3 Buzzes since someone asked. I run them with BE112 atties (about 2.8ish) from 4.8V-5.8V on three dedicated BWB juices.
