I'm sorry to hear that about your stepmother whiskey. Since they seem to be wrong so often, hopefully they are wrong about that and I hope your father continues to improve.

WOW! I hope she improves soon. My Dad had that also and had to modify his diet big time. When he stayed on it and didn't cheat too much, his symptoms were quite manageable.

Hi Sky , Rar & Karen...Yes Step mom is fighting with fluid in the lungs too..they are trying to drain off as much as possible.
Dad has lost 15 lbs on a special diet & has to loose about 20 more before his valve surgery.

My step dad hoarded food when he was forced to lose weight.

No he's not happy Karen, He loves his sweets & alcohol....He needs to cut out those and is very moody...I also know he's very scared about Step mom....
