vaping turned my tongue green because of the 18650 batteries I used in my smok Nord...no wait...is this the right thread?

I need advise.

VTCs will do that, the dye used in the wraps is transferred molecularly to the coil where it is vaporized and ends up deposited on your tongue. Switching to a 30Q or a HB6 should have you right as rain in no time :pervy:

Real Men DL vape 50mg freebase flavored with methyl salicylate in a steel mech mod. They scrounge their coils from the scrap yard and spray brake clean to wash out the gunk. Wicks being for nancies, they drip onto the bare wire, though some will use a strip of worn denim for convenience. And talk about how the tradition was handed down by grandpappy who pioneered 12 volt lead-acid vaping, which was known as electrified huffing at the time.

You tear the flap off your Dickies shirt - you ain’t gonna use it anyway- and wrap it around electric barbed wire (the kind they use for steer)and drip on that. Some like that plain round wire they use for horse fence, but ya get bigger clouds with barbed.

Newbie: Hi I'm new pleased to meet you! I started vaping last week and I'm down to 5 cigs a day. Hoping to learn how to get some more satisfaction from my vape!
BitterVet: Update your location in your profile I can't see anything about you. What are you using?
N: I'm using [the cheapest thing made by Smok]
BV: Never heard of it. I'll need you to upload a photo.
N: Really? They seem pretty common. OK here's a photo.
BV: There's your problem lady, Smok is trash. I can't believe you would buy one of those.
N: Like I said, I'm hoping to get something better!
BV: Yeah well if you want to get away from the death sticks you need to get a rebuildable.
N: Like a Voooopoooo?
BV: Watch your language! No, those things are nearly as bad as Smoks.
N: I don't have much of a budget.
BV: Well how did you ever afford cigarettes?
N: I bummed them off strangers, sometimes in exchange for unmentionable favors.
BV: Well then do some more of that and then buy a decent RTA. Between mod, tank, coils, wick, cells, charger, nic, bases, flavors, and glassware you should be able to get started for only about $300 bucks.
N: That's a bit much for me! I'm try to get away from that lifestyle. What about a pod system?
BV: It's chump change compared to what you'll save in the long run. What do you mean a pod system?
N: Those little ones where you plug in the flavor pod and charge off USB?
BV: They're all trash. Even the good ones leak.
N: So there are good ones? Which?
BV: No idea, they're all made in China. Don't you know they get rich off you buying replacement pods? Ever heard of the razor blade model?
N: Yeah but I think it would be worth it, at least in the short term. I hear they use a special kind of salted nicotine that's more satisfying.
BV: Salts! You know that's a marketing buzzword. A salt is an ionic compound that can be formed by the neutralization reaction of an acid and a base. It doesn't taste salty and there's no sodium. And it's not just for pods, I vape 'salts' in my RTA and I refer to it as protonated nicotine.
N: OK. How do you like it?
BV: Well first you have to mix the recipe and let it steep.
N: And then?
BV: Well I find it works well with molasses and cream, at 5mg concentration, steeped for 3 weeks. Add ethyl maltol to taste.
N: But is proteinated nicotine satisfying?
BV: Of course it's satisfying, but you won't be able to appreciate it on a deep enough level until you start to DIY.
N: I don't want to get into DIY. I'm going to buy premade juices. Doesn't a bottle of juice last forever with a pod?
BV: Well yeah, but there's still a ridiculous markup. Did you know that a bottle only has $1 worth of ingredients? Besides, I thought you were poor? You should be jumping all over this opportunity.
N: I'm not poor. I'm on a budget. And I already spent most of it on that Smok. I'm going to try a pod. Which one is good?
BV: No idea, go ask in Vape Pod Systems. And whatever you do don't order from FastTech! I'll be here when you come to your senses.

I'm not naming names but how about the reviewer who admits he hates MTL RTAs but is reviewing one. He can't identify the provided coil and is angry because there's no information about it so he destroys it on camera. He does think it's cool that it comes with a squonk pin but, in fact, it's an extra 510/airflow screw pin. Thanks, I learned a lot from that one.

All the big religious works are worth reading. Siddhartha , Abraham , and Muhammad were smart guys too.
Only advice I can give is be careful about the translation you read. A lot of the translators had various political agendas.
So true and the 2000 yr old words of wisdom from the "Good Book" are actually older than that because they are derived from older, non-Christian teachings.

Humanity keeps on chugging. Arguably none of the four writers I mentioned would consider themselves Christian. Jesus considered himself a Jew.

I really hate to see bands destroying their instruments on stage. I mean... I always think, "there is a needy kid who would have CHERISHED that guitar."

I hate to see reviewers destroying perfectly good vape gear. I always think, "There is a needy kid who would have CHERISHED that setup."

New user: I'm looking for an easy to use MTL set up.

Seasoned vaper: get an RTA and build your own coils, it's the smart option.

2nd seasoned vaper: Don't tell them that, it's too advanced.

Seasoned vaper: It's a good RTA.

2nd seasoned vaper: It's too advanced for a newby.

Seasoned vaper: It's no more difficult than wrapping a pig in a blanket.

2nd seasoned vaper: You're trolling !.

Seasoned vaper: Am not, you are !.

2nd seasoned vaper: "You're" trolling !.

Seasoned vaper: I was just giving advice to the op, what's it to you ?. It's not like i was talking to you anyway.

2nd Seasoned vaper: OP, get something with a drop in coil, they're easy to use.

Seasoned vaper: And don't work very well.

2nd Seasoned vaper: They work just fine.

Seasoned vaper: No they don't.

2nd Seasoned vaper: Yes they do !.

Seasoned vaper: No they don't.

goodbye
The problem is that after 2 months vaping most people are experts... Just ask them.

I'm almost 8 months and still have a crap ton of questions, and watch a crap ton more YouTube tutorials and reviews. I am content to sit back and listen, unless I have personal experience with something. There is an old saying that goes something like this...

"It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." Abraham Lincoln, Mark Twain, and Samuel Johnson.

I try to live by this and am always much happier when I do.:)

I forgot to add one of my other favorite sayings...

"Knowledge is composed of singular truths, whilst wisdom is composed of multiple truths"

Don't know the author, but it sounds like something Confucius would say.

Knowledge is concerned with the external world, wisdom with the internal.

The best threads (from the point of view of me, looking for advice on a problem I am having, or a thing I want to use or do) are those where the conversation accepts the premise at face value. Someone says they want advice on gear suited to a week-long backcountry trip, responses focus on ways to keep batteries charged, or best mods for the accident-prone, that kind of thing.

Conversations wander off-topic all the time, and I'm fine with that. But something on the lines of "You should go by car, then you could use a car charger, problem solved!" is not as helpful as perhaps the respondent intends.
