I have also heard of others now having trouble with the Boge brand as well. Whole other thread going on those. I dont believe the two brands are made by the same manufacture but I could be wrong.
Its possible that both manufactures buy their materials from the same supplier? Either way, there seems to be some real problem with the current run of things. Heck, My last Clearomizer was crap. Not cool in many ways as consumers we expect to get a certain amount of value from our products even if they are considered to be "disposable".

I concur on the clearos too- the Smoktech XXXL Dual Coil (usually great) was a filler fail. It's like the juice collapsed the filler (or more likely the filler had been fluffed up to look like more?). Awful chemical tasting vape and that same nasty brown goo after a few days.
Am now rationing my CE2s.
I started using the ST DC 1.5-2.0 ohms in a tank a while back because of the inconsistent attys I was getting. I've burned through the last 20 with a 50% failure rate. I've been getting a strong, acrid, chemical, plastic taste out of 1/2 of the cartos I've used. Sometimes, the horrible taste will go away- but most times it doesn't. I make sure they are wet by both filling the carto with around 1/2 ml of juice and priming it with many dry pulls, watching as bubbles come out of the hole as juice goes in. It's depressing. I have one carto left and chances are good it's a dud. ...I can't waste any more $$ on smoktech's. Done.

I just got my KGO and 5 Smok Tech 1.7ohm single coil EGO cartomizers. I fill one up making sure it's all evenly soaked and the first drag I'm in heaven. Incredible taste, TH, nic hit, and tons of vapor... 5 drags more and the taste is pretty much gone.
I fill one more cart and the same bad taste... Now I'm not sure if the carts are bad or I just saturated my taste buds and it's me that can not taste properly?... Is this possible?

Northern Va huh? I have had the same symptom with several methods. I think my taste buds go into a deep sleep or something. Are you vaping a strong juice or just a blah flavor?

As I mentioned earlier I had ordered several of the resurrectors recently. At that time I had only tried a couple and so far they seemed fine. Now I have tried several of them and I also had the luck to find some of the old ones in the green wrappers that I had put away and forgotten I had so I was able to compare. I have had one complete dud and one partial dud with the new ones. Not too bad. Duds happen occasionally. But I do not think they are the same quality as the old ones. They are definitely airier and they don't seem to last as long (granted, I haven't been charting how long they last but I seem to go through them quicker). I don't like the airier draw. My conclusion is, they aren't bad, they just aren't as good as the old ones. They are usable. Duds do happen on occasion with any kind of carto. I personally have only had the one complete dud that didn't produce any vapor, and another "partial" dud, one that really did not work well, but...that might have been that particular juice I loaded it with also. They aren't as good and there is a chance I will try other cartos in the future. 50/50, or maybe less.

The old batch came in a Smoktech branded greyish box with some graphic design on it, but the black cartos themselves had nothing printed on them.
This new batch came in a plain white box with a small sticker indicating type of carto, and on the base of the black cartos themselves down near the threading it's printed "SMOK Dual Coils" in white lettering.
The new batch tastes better, absorbs/holds juice better, and hits better than the old batch. I got them at evcigarettes if anyone is interested.

The first carto went bad for sure. I have a second that it's holding well after a couple of hours of use. I'm using Johnson's creek Rainier 100% VG . Impressive TH with the KGO; not so much with my VOLT
Has anyone ordered the Resurrector LR 1.7 oHm from CCV recently (in the past week or so) and are they still having problems with these? I want to try these and I'm wondering if it's safe yet. Thanks.
I have ten, one produces great flavor, 2 produce vapor with no flavor, the rest taste like ash and burn my throat. One of them I tried to prime and the juice wouldn't even submerge into the filler. It just stayed on top. Several days later, it's still not absorbed. Too bad. I have 4 tanks and don't know what else to put in there.
Has there been any word from Smoktech on this? Still have 15 or so duds collecting dust.
Moved on to Boge XLs and they WORK, but they just don't have the hit of a 1.7. I've actually gone back to dripping with the fantastic Cisco 306s but I'm looking for other solutions. Anyone have suggestions?

I haven't purchased the Smoktech 1.7 ohm since December (they are good) but I ordered five boxes of Smoktech single coil 2.0 ohm XLs from Hoosier last week and they are just fine. Photos of the boxes are here...

I am in a rut with the batch of Smoktech 1.7 tank cartos I ordered. I was on a roll with very few duds, but it seems like almost every one I put into service this past weekend is garbage. I wouldn't be so heartbroken if they weren't the ones I filled with ECBlends flavors that I am almost out of. Here is my tally so far:

Not sure who makes them, but after a run in with a bunch of bad smoktechs I went to these at Hoosier's: Pre Punched Replacement tank cartomizers
Went with the 2 ohm, dual coil, triple punched (3 tiny holes that works well with VG juices) and they've been working flawlessly. A little more expensive than your average 3 box deal, but the consistency's been worth it to me.
2ohm DC vapes pretty nice around 4.7 - 5v, massive plumes with a good TH.
