Bad cartos?

A few days ago I got a 5 pk of blank 808 cartos from mvs and I was gonna use 'em when my new juices got here. They just got here today so I put the new juice in and spun it around and then set it down and repeated with the next carto/juice until all 5 brand new cartos with all different juices (over 1 ml in each) were full. It tried the first one and it tasted ok for the first hit but hardly any vapor came out when I exhaled. I tried it again, and got taste but no vapor. Tried it again but didn't inhale and blew out a TON of vapor so I inhaled the next puff and again, no vapor. Now it tasted burnt. Tried a different one and no vapor just a little burnt taste. Tried another, same thing. What should I do? Drain the cartos of the new juice and wait until I can get some new ones that work right?

Could you tell us more about those cartos? Who makes them, what's their resistance and capacity, what's the voltage of your batteries etc.?

Have you tried adding more juice? It sounds like you were getting dry hits especially since they taste burnt now and no vapor production.

The blank cartomizers were from myvaporstore.com (they didn't say LR or anything, I went to their site and typed in KR808D-1 and all kinds of accessories, batteries,etc. came up and I clicked 'em to order just like I did all the other times) and the battery is 280; that's all I know.

I put over 1 ml in each one. I thought that's all they would hold. That's all I put in all the others I got from the store.

Those look like Kanger--they are pretty bad (or at least were pretty bad, last time I tested them), but they shouldn't burn right off the bat. They should hold ~1 ml, so that's not the problem. Add a few more drops until the filler is saturated fully, but not dripping wet. Let them sit for an hour or so. Blow out any excess eliquid; blow gently from the mouth end. Make sure the center tube is open--you should be able to see a bit of light.

In the future, I recommend getting Boge kr808 cartos or Bloog (or any of its clones, like Volt).

Just ordered a 5 pk of Boge blanks from AvidVapor. EXPENSIVE. The Bloogs were even more. Should be here soon. Thanks. I'm gonna contact mvs and tell 'em about the problems with the others they sent; might get a replacement pack; cross your fingers.

So, even though the little bit of vapor I got out of 'em tasted a little burnt, can I squeeze the juice out of 'em with a syringe and put it in a new carto and not have ANY burnt taste? or will the burnt taste transfer with the liquid?

It is possible that they juice is fried but you never know. Just do a reverse spin to get the liquid out. Put carto in upside down and spin away.

I saw those at Vapors Etc but didn't want to get 'em because they said "LR". Have you ever used 'em? Any good? I want warmer vapor and I think a LR carto makes warmer vapor and that = stronger TH, right? Also the "LR" type will work with any brand 808 battery?

or Bloogalike kr808 cartos (2.6Ω, horizontal coil; those may be prone to burning on your kr808 battery due to lower resistance)

Those two are the best kr808 cartos on the market today. I prefer the 510 model, though. If you want to try a better cartomizer (that's just my opinion, mind you), get an adapter [you need kr901/808>510, available at Liberty Flights, Good Prophets or Wordupecig (free shipping)], I recommend 510 Premium Platinum cartomizers from IkenVape; they are 2.5Ω and vape beautifully on 3.7v.

The Boge LR (2.0Ω, 510 connection) may be a bit too hot for the kr808 battery. You are correct, the lower the resistance of the atomizer and the higheer the voltage of the battery, the more heat is generated, thus more vapor and warmth. And increased risk of burning of the filler in the cartomizer.

So sorry about my mistake.

Just got the Boge ones in today. Look nice; stainless steel. Haven't tried it yet though. Just put some Johnson Creek JC Original in it so I'm gonna let it sit a bit. Cross your fingers.

Yes! Vapegasm. Those Boge cartos are GREAT. I'm never buying anything else. It's so easy to get a TON of vapor out of 'em; and it tastes stronger than the others I was using. That price, 11.55, was with shipping. Without shipping they cost 8.49. I found some at ivape.net for 7.49; not sure about the shipping yet. I'll find out soon enough though.
