Bad customer service IMO

Hi I ordered a Revenger kit at vaporesso store on Aliexpress for much less than it sells for usually but after a week they contacted me saying this
"I'm sorry to tell you that the revenger kit can't stock up on time now.
Do you mind that repalce with another product?
Such as the Armour pro kit or the Switcher kit
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
We apologize for you.
Wait for your early reply.

What got me very angry is after they told me they don't have it i ran a search for it thinking i'll ask for refund and buy it from some1 else and what do i see as the second result, them selling the mod just the mod not kit but it means they still have it.
Yes the Switcher kit is a worthy alternative but i already bought it from them 2 days ago and i don't need a second one.
The Armour pro on the other hand is a much simpler, weaker and i don't like it at all and not a worthy replacement for the Revenger kit.
I really like the Revenger mod if you can help that would be great

A kit will be packaged with mod and tank along with accessories for said kit. The kit would have been sold to the retailer at a lower price than what it would have cost to purchase both mod and tank separately. Despite having the stand alone mod in stock, this is not the kit therefore not what you had asked for. You have the choice of buying the mod on its own, and if desired, purchasing a separate tank along with it – but you will most likely be paying more, depending on your choice of tank.

If looking for a Vaporesso kit, the Skrr would be an excellent alternative to the Revenger X

Yes it's a chinese company that basically can do what they want and no 1 can do anything about it BUT at least if this is how they do business (I'm a business owner for almost 10 years so i know a thing or 2 about customer service) than I want to know it and everyone here to know it so we can avoid future unpleasantries.
It happened to me that a customer ordered an item from me and I didn't have it in stock so I suggested an equivalent item just different brand or same brand but a better more expensive item as it was my problem that I didn't have the item in stock but forgot to write that it is out of stock.
IMO that's how good customer service supposed to work or am I wrong?

But how would they know the kits they suggested would be an unworthy alternative? They are just suggestions just as I suggested the Skrr. I have no idea whether the Skrr would have value to you or not.

After finding the Revenger as a stand alone mod, did you respond back inquiring if this could be an option?

I've been a business owner for a few decades, the last five years of which have been spent making electric guitars. In doing so, buying stuff from the Chinese is unavoidable. I even have to buy Korean pickups (quite excellent, btw) through a Chinese company.

Because of this, I've learned to hold them to different standards. You can save lots of money by dealing with them directly (the sellers on AliExpress are mostly wholesalers selling broken lots, etc), but one must be a bit flexible. Which doesn't mean accepting something you don't want, either. I'd probably just ask for a refund at that point.

Are you indignant about them running out of stock, or for making alternative recommendations that you don't like, or for not offering a more expensive model at the same price? AliExpress sell a million different things and are not specialized in vaping. They're also one of those bargain basements sites where skinflints shop, so you're setting your expectations way too high. If you're miffed, just cancel the purchase and pay a bit more to another vendor that offers the sort of customer service you feel entitled to. You are prepared to put your money where your mouth is, right?

I didn't talk about personal value but from a performance level, 220w 2 battery kit vs 80w 1 battery kit pretty easy to see the 80w is not on the same lvl as the 220w + i already told them i bought the Switcher kit from them even provided the order number so they can combine shipping if they want.
So offering me a second identical kit and 1 crappy kit is unworthy suggestions that a cheap company would make trying to save a few bucks instead of looking to the future and having good rep.
It's too bad because i actually like Vaporesso a lot, saw a vid how they make the Revenger and all the testing equipment they have to test their products.

Yes it's a very good value for 26$ great mod from all the reviews i saw.
I don't have the NRG tank and heard good things about it so for me the mod and the tank for 31$ is even better value.
Had a lot of dealings on aliexpress and alibaba so i know what you're talking about as i wrote they can pretty much do what they want and it's up to us to decide if we're willing to accept the risk for a lower price. So no illusions here.

I think the point has been made, but you seem to miss it.

A kit is a kit. They were out of the kit and offered alternatives.

A mod is a a different product to a shop. They are unlikely to recommend a mod as an alternative to a kit.

Your opinion on the quality or value of said kits has zero to do with their suggestions. They’re similar in the descriptions on the site - meaning, they’re kits.

Think of it this way, if I bought a great pair of jeans that were out of stock, would the site offer me a zipper as an alternative? No. A zipper is only a part of what I ordered. And it’s listed as s different category on the site.

They’d offer me other jeans. It has nothing to do with the fact I wanted Levis and all they have is some no name brand.

The Armour is 100 watts. Did you specifically tell them you want a device that is over 100 watts? The performance between the Armour and Switcher is subjective depending on how you wish to use the device, which I will assume you did not indicate.

I see this incident as Aliexpress opening communication which is an essential trait when dealing with customer support. They asked if you would “mind a replacement” (according your OP) which leads me to believe they are open to other choices or even a refund. The Switcher and Armour are only suggestions.

I had no idea they HAD customer service, let alone BAD customer service.

I don't buy from them, for many reasons including the fact that every time my kid ordered something from there, it was wrong, busted or both.

LOL though he used to "negotiate" with them. Like one thing he bought was not quite as advertised (can't mention it on here) and he wound up getting a 2/3 refund.

Part of what you get, and included in what you pay for is reliability and good customer service. I'm sorry for your misfortune but oh, when I used to hit my toes with hammers, I realized the pain was not going to stop until I stopped doing that.

I would pay at least 5 buck more for decent customer service and you know who has that, actually? Fasttech.

Wow you guys have very low expectations from Aliexpress and Vaporesso.
No it is you who don't understand that my expectations from them seem to be much higher.
China=Aliexpress is a very fast growing economy and industry, i don't know the number but i believe that a the Alibaba group sells the largest quantities of goods on the internet.
I also shop a lot on other online shops like Ebay, Amazon and many local online shops and as much as i shop obviously it's not the first time something like this happened to me and as i don't take **** from anyone had many dealings with customer support of many of those sites.
Ebay was very strict about this kind of incidence in the past but when the chinese sellers joined Ebay it got a little more relaxed about this things but still i never was wronged by Ebay and always got a satisfactory solution if not from the seller than from involving Ebay so i know i can buy there and it's not that i dislike it i just don't like Ebay.
On Amazon i once bought a Logitech mouse and they didn't have it in stock but i got contacted next day ( not a week after i payde) and got offered a Microsoft equivalent or the next in line better Logitech mouse ( i think i bought the 505 and got offered the 525) now that's maybe 1 of the better incidents but it shows the much better customer service.
That is the service i'm used to.
I believe that Aliexpress has passed Ebay and Amazon in sales so i expect their customer service to be at least as good if not better and don't tell me they're Chinese so it is what you get if you deal with them, i'm buying on Aliexpress since it opened, i have bought thousands of products from Aliexpress (many before that on Alibaba) for my business and for my personal use so i got enough info for a pretty good statistic, 95.5% i had no problems with orders, around 2% get lost in the mail, the 2.5% i did have problems with around 80% got solved by communicating with the seller, the rest i had to involve Aliexpress but then 90% of those got resolved with 100% satisfaction the 10% had to either get a not satisfactory partial refund.
So my experience with Chinese sellers is that most of them are good trusted sellers so i expect them to behave accordingly especially a serious company like Vaporesso.
Now maybe it's not really their store on Aliexpress i don't know.
