Yes I already filled that out. And from what I read I never saw anything about the classified s being buyer beware I just saw the coops say that. Of course I never mentioned ecf or ecigs

One way to protect yourself against this sort of thing in the future is to pay with a US Postal money order, and mail it to the seller.

This way you have their mailing address, in case you want to "pay them a visit" if you get ripped off.

Plus, if they rip you off, and payment was made with a USPS money order, and sent through the US Mail, it makes their rip-off a Federal Mail Fraud offense, and most people--even rip-off artists--aren't willing to incur that sort of risk.

Anything I buy for more than about $100, I'd insist on either a FTF transfer, or payment by mail--and anyone who wouldn't agree to that is, IMO, not to be trusted...

Well, there isn't a whole lot they can do, but j0ker does do everything he can to resolve the issue in these type of situations (speaking from personal experience, here, he will do his best to help you). Fill out the complaint form and it will be looked into :) You may be contacted for more details if needed and the person the complaint is about will definitely be contacted about the issue*

*edit to add: there is a field on the complaint form asking if it's alright to contact the other party. I didn't notice this before since my own experiences in this arena pre-date the current classifieds setup

If you request a chargeback for no receipt of item Paypal will check in to it. But what I wonder about is since there is no mention of goods or e cig will that ever come up? The sender would need to prove delivery with delivery confirmation number and if he can't PayPal should award you a win in your favor. I always request delivery confirmation and I always use it when delivering I sell on eBay

You might want to go back and re-read here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-guidelines-updated-often-without-notice.html

The very first section is called "Buyer Beware" and at the bottom of the post is a disclaimer.

As stated numerous times before, the only thing we can promise you is that we will try our best to make sure you get your money/item back but you must follow the rules and guidelines we have in place.

We do have your complaint but you have to give us time, you won't get an immediate response. In this particular case, you weren't the only one, as you have found. So this investigation is already in progress, so please be patient and allow us time to resolve the matter.

Just so you'll know in the future. Any classifieds whether in the paper, the radio on the Internet, etc. is always your responsibility.
ECF it's nice enough to provide the service to allow us to trade with each other. They even go the extra mile by providing a rating system.

I better not say more...

I am sorry you got burned though.
