I got my 18650 the other day and have been vaping it enough to leave a better than positive feedback! Wow this little wood mod Rocks! The button is Awesome no effort at all to push and the blue led set in the button give's it a little class and of course you can just turn the mod face down to stealth vape. The vape is smooth and the size is awesome! I have used the UltraFire 18650 3000mah in it with no issues, Fits perfect ... The craftsmanship is excellent! easy sturdy on off back for inserting and removing battery's with ease and last but not least the price .... This mod is better than a lot I have purchased and for less than half the price .... I would recommend everyone to get a Bahnzo mod ..... I am more than ecstatically happy!!

Hey everyone...just checking in. Got a new batch of curly maple that I dug out of a pile at the lumber place. (How come the best boards are always at the bottom of 1/2 a ton of wood?) Looks great and has some nice figure. It's currently at the shop getting sliced down to specs. I have some exciting ideas...check this out: How to Create a Sunburst Finish - Fine Woodworking Video

A bit down the road, but how cool would a sunburst finish be?

That's a great effect and would look super on the light maple to really bring out the grain.

Feeders are an unnecessary complication that drives up prices. Pressure treated lumber?? No way.

Disagree with this opinion, "unnecessary" is not a word I would use but I'd agree that it drives the price up. The mods look great, keep up the great work, it's a good cheap alternative to other wood mods! I gotta have a feeder, though.

How many mods are feeders vs. non-feeders? Of those that are, how many work well? That list is pretty small, IMO. I like Bahnzo's mods because of their simplicity and beauty. My Phidias handles feeding. I plan on using Ken's mod for cartos and I appreciate its smaller footprint. I welcome a $50/$60 well made mod without feeding.

Thanks, I'm very happy you like it! I'm always a little apprehensive when I send one out...they are all different since they are made individually and I'm always worried there's something wrong that I didn't see. But I take the time to use each one for a couple hours to make sure it's good, and I wouldn't sell any one that I wouldn't personally enjoy using and owning myself. Time to make one of my own I guess.

Pressure Treated with a feeder would be better.

I realize there are people out there that would like a bottom feeder system. But, there are other's out there who make them and seem to do them well (I guess, I've never owned one, but it seems people are happy with them). I'm happy to create what I make now and leave the feeder mods to those who do that.

I received my 18650 mod Bahnzo made for me........awesome is the word to describe it. The only negative I have about it is that all the edges are like not tapered....easy fix....I can sand down to round it off a bit and make it somewhat round......otherwise fits in the hand great and works terrific.

Thank you, Ken. Good product. Should last me a very long time.

Thanks Sandy. I would be careful about rounding the edges, you'll remove the protective finish that way. If you do it, get some urethane and give it a light coat or two around the edges to seal it.

I just bought a tool to round the corners a few days ago. These are small enough that trying to fit them in a router just doesn't work and/or isn't very safe. I did round one earlier just with sandpaper, and while it turned out good, it wasn't as precise as I would like. So this tool should work nicely...I used it on a mod I'm building now to just relieve the edges some and it does just that. It cuts just enough to give a smooth edge, and then a little sanding finishes it off. I plan on using it for every mod from now on.

I received my new 14500 the other day and the workmanship is awesome! I love how you rounded it off and cut everything so precisely that the door stays on without the need of magnets or anything! This little girl vapes beautifully too and makes for an awesome stealth vape! The wood is beautifully finished and still gave off the fragrance of having been freshly cut. Perhaps you can make me a box from ceder, that way the vape would smell great and so would the box!

Thanks Bahnzo, I am really looking forward to my 18650 box, OH by the way I call first dibs on anything that you make! LOL

Bahnzo,
What tool are you using to round the corners?? I was thinking of a cove file.

Veritas® Cornering Tool Set - Lee Valley Tools

This is what I'm using, but I'm rethinking that....it's kinda prone to tear out on hardwoods...it works very well on something like pine. I'll probably just switch to using a block plane when I manage to find one that's not $100 (and not a china made piece of....).
