Mostly a lurker, but wanted to do a weigh-in on this. I remember several months there was a lot of debate about this Bakero wire stuff coming out of the Philippines. Recently got hold of some and wrapped it in a Genesis about a week ago and have been test driving it since. It looks just like Kanthal A1 ribbon, except maybe a little lighter and more springy. Very pliable I noticed when wrapping as well. The one difference is temperature of the vape. I didn't realize how warm the vape off of Kanthal was until I vaped on this wire. It's basically the temp of a cold start on Kanthal from start to finish even while chain vaping. Works well as far as I'm concerned thus far. :2c:

I still do not know exactly what the chem makeup of this wire is, however, which makes me wary of recommending it to anyone. I'm just playing guinea pig at the moment, I think. Did this question get answered and I missed it somewhere?

after about two days of google and kanthals website ive conclude bakero is actually alkrothal... 1cr14al4 where as kanthal a1 is 1cr23al3 I believe this would attribute to springyness and cooler vapor as its nominal working temp when exposed to air is lower than kanthal....I cant find a supplier that doesnt sell less than 5 kilos of the stuff tho.
