Filipinos are different somehow, they always see information being too valuable to share and use this as a mean of profit.

Interesting. In contrast, none of us would be fooling with RBAs, if it weren't for a guy named Raidy, who came in to ECF a couple years ago, and introduced us to the concept of mesh wicks (he called it mash), and the whole rba thing took off. I don't know if Raidy ever made a dime. I hope he did. If anyone should have, it was him.

Thanks for a bit of perspective from a local to the Phillipines.

I'm still not convinced though -- the timing just seems too convenient. If you read through the OP's .002 ohm thread, it VERY much sounds like he's 'playing ignorance' because it plays into the 'i'm just a naive person looking for the best' impression that would work well for initial sales. It just all comes across as a ploy to get more attention in.

I do agree completely on why the vendor isn't telling... and I also have a feeling that the whole process isn't on the up-and-up. I'll be happy to be proven wrong, but it just all sounds too convenient to me when you look at what the total posting history of the OP is.

that .002 ohm thread is misleading. it's not actually .002 ohms, it was .002 kilo ohms. He used the meter wrong. if converted, it actually turns out to b 2.0 ohms.

This is exactly why our country would not progress. Greed and corruption is the only thing that keeps us from moving forward.

Of course. I get that. But doesn't it seem convenient that the same guy who's looking to become a stateside vendor of this 'special wire' started his posting here with an attention grabber like "I'm running .002 ohms!" -- then when he's "proven wrong" he can play ignorance when it comes time to bring the bakero wire thread up, and even more so when he starts trying to be the new 'importer' of it?

I'm happy to admit that theres some personal doubt involved in this on my part -- and I know it comes off like I'm pulling at straws. But the fact that pretty much the only threads OP has been involved in, all lead back to this mystery wire that no one will reveal details about makes me question the whole process -- OP included.

Maybe this will help? https://www.facebook.com/ZiggyvapeBEYPON?fref=ts
that's the Facebook page of Ziggy who is the vendor of this wire. The OP's name is Michael Gomez, he revealed himself with a comment stating that he was in fact the OP of the thread in a status, which is basically a link leading to the thread itself, of the vendor saying that his Bakero wire has already been rampant outside the country.

Yours isn't the only one bud

I think most people who need some spare cash will find a way, regardless of location, culture, ethnicity.

Capitolism and its ilk definitely aren't to help everybody move forward, just the select few with the balls.

I was a little suspicious but optimistic.... I tried PM'ing that Ziggy dude, and even reopened my facebook account justto see his page and post a message about buying some of that wire....... Zero responses. I'm just about done giving him the benefit of the doubt. This looks more and more like a slick attempt to capitalize on the unsuspecting vapers who might be fooled by this trick.

It's silica wick sold here in the Phil. It's sort of branding because the one marketing called his first marketed atomizer "Bastos Atomizer" (drip type atomizer. Don't know where they source this though, but I have a few (1,2 and 3mm) and it's quite good and wicks very well.

Bastos means rude - they call it that bec of huge plumes of vapor, rude for others.

haha hey wow.. nice. now im conspiring and preying on new members. try not to burn a fuze while thinking way too hard about this one. someone has obviously over thought this to the point of ridiculousness.. I just want some of that magic wire. is that wrong? I really started off on the quest having no clue as to what bakero wire was and was only curious on what it was and how i could get some. it turned into way more that i ever had in mind.. I just wanted the dense vapor as seen in the vids. Hopefully Ziggy does send me some.. and if he does, id be glad to distribute it.. but i'm certainly no mastermind business guy trying to prey on anybody.. I'm just a fellow vaper. I like rebuildables and mech mods and cinnamon ejuice =] Please dont think less of me for wanting bigger clouds.

Just my opinion, but this issue here is the "hype" over some magic wire. There is no "magic" to get bigger clouds. There is only science. That and good technique gets you massive clouds. If you want more vapor, you need a larger surface for ejuice to evaporate from and/or a hotter coil. You can (if you want to) calculate surface area of exposed wire to wick. You can use a thinner wire with a lot of coils like the hh357 or you can use ribbon wire. Both have their tradeoffs, but it you dont wrap your wick right, it doesn't matter.

With respect to wide ribbon wire, the underlying material composition is not really the key factor. Its more about balancing the resistance of the coil within the power of your device, the space you have in your atty and optimizing airflow and doing all this it without burning your juice. If you want to quickly get some of this "magic" wire, just go get some .8mm x.1 mm kanthal ribbon wire, it has the about the same resistance as 28g A1.

If you can get some of Ziggy's wire, just post its resistance and dimensions, the rest is fairy dust. So this is not a slam...please dont take it that way we all like massive vapor.

These are just names they branded themselves. Most filipinos are running dual coils at .8 ohms on mechanicals. Just right to be able to vape 12mg nic and not get a massive throat hit. We also bore out the airholes up to 5/64. Weather does play part in vapor too.

I think it is ok if Ziggy wants to protect his "find". Why don't we get some from him and figure out the specs ourselves. Most business people will not want to reveal their specs for obvious reason, but people like us with no vested interest except for getting big plumes of vapor can and will figure it our ourselves and share the info. And you do not expect info to be free right? let's stop bashing the TS and get to vaping. That's what we are here for.

@scrappy, I understand your point but at this moment in time what makes us sure what is safe to vape and what is not? Is silica safe to vape? Is stainless mesh safe to vape? I believe non of us have the answers yet

If Ziggy does not want to reveal the make up of his wire, then as consumers we have the right not to buy and not do business with him. I understand it is frustrating but you have to understand the vaping is a relatively new thing and largely unregulated.

The problem is that he probably doesn't have a "product" other than wire that's already available under a different name.
