By that time I would not be worried about the contents of the package, but the outside of the package itself. Been reading about cases with the postal workers. Does not do much to encourage whether the outside of the package is safe or not. It has been a few days since I last saw an article but I will try to find and post it.

:)

eta Just google usps covid cases. more than 1 article appears.
Yea, that is another worry of mine. I know for the most part, the postal service would be the highest to suspect. Think of all the mail that is ran through the sorting machines. I wonder how often those are disinfected.... That is why I'm not too concerned with the actual item, or inside the package, but what it's in, and the box it was mailed in that I concentrate on.

I’m not as much worried about the hands that touched it across the ocean as I am the many hands in the two or three days before it hits my mailbox.

Now that i think of it the Vandy Vape Jackaroo i ordered is coming from Hong Kong, are there any procedures i should follow when my package is delivered?
I ordered today and it said 15/25 days, which will be longer by what people are telling me but it never hurts to know beforehand if there is anything i should know.

Oldest review for the mod i could find is from february so not sure if maybe im getting a model before this whole corona virus thing, either way not sure how to proceed once the package is delivered.

found this:

Is it safe to open packages from China?

but these days when it comes to the news and info you might need you dont really know who to trust...
I do trust you guys so that is why im asking :)

I think that anything taking a couple weeks from China is OK in terms of Chinese contact, but local contact on the outside could be very recent. My Dad sprays packages lightly with rubbing alcohol while I leave them for a couple days in the garage. If you can't wait to open it, doing so outside, disposing of the packaging and washing your hands should suffice. Have fun with that Jackaroo - it's a sturdy beast!

If you're worried about it, you can spray the outside of your package with lysol disinfectant spray (or some other brand) or rubbing alcohol and let it sit for a time. The rubbing alcohol should be at least 70%. But 90/91% would be better. The Purell hand sanitizer that I have is only 67% alcohol, but I think 70% or higher would be better IMHO. Of course, you'll need a spray bottle.

Thanks for the info guys.
What you said is for the box itself but what about the contents,i mean the box with the mod like most others will probably be wrapped in plastic, would it be safe to just open and use or is there something else i should do with the components of the box (i think it only comes with the mod and a cable for firmware upgrade)

cheers

I don't think you need to worry about inside the mod box but if you want to play safe, wipe everything with disinfectant. Make sure you wear gloves and wash hands afterward.

Back when i bought the mod, they still had the rda in copper,i was kinda bummed i didn't see it before checking out, otherwise i would have gotten it.The Doc is copper too,but it's a polished copper,so it doesn't match too good with the brushed finish on the mod.
I agree,it's a hefty mod,it's about the same thickness as my Timesvape Keen, and that does take a 21700.
Honestly i couldn't tell ya how the Doc is,i've never built it yet haha. When the mod came in i wanted to try it out,so i put one of my Profiles on it,and never took it back off.
We're talking about Ivape right? That's right, I think they did have the copper X1 RDA at one point.

The VC XXX I have is also quite hefty. Even more so than the X1. The stack could legitimately be used as an antipersonnel device. I'm not even kidding. You could probably kill somebody with that thing.

You're running mesh in a Profile on your X1?

Yeah, mesh and Rayon in all my Profiles, after trying my first one,i just can't find an rda that works better for me.

For those who like their Zenith and/or Zlide tanks...and might need more coils:

The vendor below has finally gotten more of the Zenith coils. I called before ordering what I wanted, to find out if the 1.6ohm were as shown in the picture...(as being the original Zenith coils and not the Z-coils). Was told, yes, they are the original ones!

As of right now they have (286) boxes of the 0.5ohm-Plexus coils, (378) boxes of the 0.8ohm coils, and (336) boxes of the 1.6ohm coils. They're $6.10/box of 5! S/H is a minimum of $9.99, but Free S/H kicks in at $75 purchase or more. You'd hit that by buying 13 boxes of coils or fewer boxes plus some other things from their website. They do have some super prices on things in their Vape Deals section, too!

Innokin Zenith Replacement Coil - 5PK

If you don't already have an account with them, you'll need to register for one before prices will show up and you can buy things. Anyone can have an individual regular account. You don't have to be a commercial customer...I'm not, and I've been buying from them for several years now.

I wish they had the 1.2 coils also.
