The only difference between the older Zenith coils and the newer Z-coils was supposed to be just a name change. However, many of us who have gotten and used some of the Z-coils...have found differences in the coils themselves (ie. they don't last as long, there has been at least 1-2 "duds" in each box, etc.). There have been numerous complaints to Innokin about them, not just people on here disappointed with them. In fact, someone had posted on ECF not too many months ago...that Innokin was aware of the problems and were told they were working to correct them.

There's no way of knowing if these are more of the first Z-Coils that people complained about...or possibly ones that Innokin has just recently made after fixing the quality control issues with them.

That's why I specifically called and asked them which ones they were selling on their website...the original ones called "Zenith Replacement Coils" (as the box shows on their website)...or the Z-Coils. I was told they were the original Zenith ones like the box shows, not the Z-Coils. That's why I ordered 30 boxes for a local friend and me, and 10 boxes for another ECF friend.
You didn’t perchance buy some of the cheap z-coils from that vendor selling clones. I did and those don’t last as long and I’ve had a couple few duds. I forget the vendor... may have had “Central” as part of their name.

Nope, they weren't from them. They were from 2 vendors I've regularly bought the authentics from since I started using Zeniths. I'm kind of gunshy of the Z-Coils now because I've never had any duds in boxes of the original Zeniths. But my hairdresser has had 2, and I've had 3,...from 4 different boxes of the Z-Coils I bought in the past for us. The only thing that was different for either of us...was that they were Z-Coils, not the original ones.

Update on the Zenith coils from KangerWholesale/Lightfire Distribution:

Spoke with both Nick and Matt a few minutes ago.

1) Found out the guy I spoke with Thursday night, before I placed my order...was incorrect regarding what they'd received from Innokin. The picture on their website will be corrected to show the Z Coil box instead, to avoid any future problems.

2) ALL boxes received from Innokin now, and in the future, will be the new packaging...showing Z Coil. They said the only way anyone might get the original Zenith Replacement Coils would be if a distributor still had some of the older ones in stock. But, that's not likely.

3) They told me to try several coils from 1 box I received, to see if the same problems happen as with the older Z Coils I'd gotten several months ago from a different vendor. Said to contact them about what I find out. If there are still problems, they'll contact Innokin and see what can be done about the coils I've gotten from them and those that others have/will buy, too. They also said they, (KW/LFD), don't want to be selling coils with known problems.

I do notice that the info., graphics, warning, bar code #, etc. and the placement of those things on the boxes I just received are different than on the older Z Coil boxes I have. So hopefully, these are newly manufactured ones and the quality control issues have been corrected. I guess I'll find out though.

Economy shipping from China appears to have a 2 month backlog already. Just not enough flights to handle it all. So no telling when you will see it. :(
I just had a Ft package take just shy of 2 months to get to me,brutal wait haha.Although they are about the only one i've really had the long wait on.I've made 2 orders from 2FDeal,and paid like $4 for shipping, and had them both in less than 2 weeks each. Then i made an order with 3F last week, and paid like $3 for shipping, and it's already cleared through US customs and on the way to me.Both of those use outside shippers to get it to the US when you use the paid shipping though, which is making a huge difference.

Indeed! But if you are ordering from China to save some money. But if you are actually paying more than you would locally when you tag on shipping, then what's the point?

Usualmente, you like uh, well you sort of pay less (or obtain items you cannot get here) even with a 4 buck shipping markup is the thing. It's the only way I would order from China at the moment, fortunately I need to save my funds. I now have all I need for Precios forever so I'm chill.

ALTHOUGH I WOULD NOT MIND THAT BRONZE kroma but I don't need it. Not even the tiniest bit.

If I could go back I MIGHT replace my eleafs in the closet with some solos but you know, you can't go backward like that and I like my Invokes just as much.

If it was Dhl shipping or something i would agree, but both of those places i paid around $4 or less for shipping, still well under what it would it would of cost in the states, plus the fact what i ordered isn't even available in the states haha.
