You're right, I got the two mixed up....I definitely saw that on EjuiceSteals, and even posted about it in this thread...but I didn't see it on MBV.

Yep.It sounds hard, but it's just a matter of cutting, winding, and screwing the coil down in place. The hard part is making an efficient wick. There's only a short period of experimenting until you find out what works best. Too tight or too loose and you get a bad vape. Just right works fine.
I learned the ins and outs from watching PBusardo. He's a pretty good online teacher.
Do it once and you'll be rolling your eyes at yourselfI can wick a coil but for some reason I'm afraid to make my own coils. I have everything needed to start but something holds me back.
Best and cheapest is a coil of wire, some Sally's cellucotton, and a rebuildable atty. I was looking through my atty box the today reminiscing about the days when I bought factory coils. I've been vaping on rebuildables for years now and it's definitely cheaper.
Let's go as simple as possible. A Kanthal build will last for months. Maybe ten cents worth of wire. A rewick costs maybe 5 cents and 5 minutes for fancy cotton. Get a bag of pads or a box of Rayon and you'd probably have to wick it twice, maybe 3 times to cost a penny. For the most part, the inexpensive drop-in coils I've been buying in quantity have been for other people that I'm helping to get prepared for the Vapocolypse. I've also got a quantity of tanks for them, that take those coils. They prefer tanks right now and for the near future. I also have a variety of the necessary materials for them to use RBAs though, and a large selection of RBAs, too. When they're ready to learn how to use them...we're all set.![]()
I think you might be preaching to the choir... lolLet's go as simple as possible. A Kanthal build will last for months. Maybe ten cents worth of wire. Bottom line? For average vapers 20 bucks could last the rest of your life.

Because I don't know you, but I do know that you won't be the only one reading what I sayI don't know what makes you 2, and @DaveP, think that I don't know how to use RBAs and don't already use them myself.![]()
Wait... what??? lol... Preaching to the choir means he is trying to educate you on something that you already know very well... lolI don't know what makes you 2, and @DaveP, think that I don't know how to use RBAs and don't already use them myself. I'm very familiar with how little it costs to use them in comparison to drop-in coils. Nothing I've posted has indicated otherwise, yet people preach to me about using them, give me advice and instructions on how to use them, etc. So yep...you're preaching to the choir, but not in the way BigPappa meant it, I'm pretty sure.![]()
That's certainly fair enough. My motivation is not to make people feel inadequate if they use factory coils.Simplicity is in the eye of the beholder. With the deals on drop ins available, I've been able to accumulate good coils to the point my wife will never need to learn to build. I may choose to build but will never need to.
At about a 25-40 cents each, maybe fifteen bucks a year. Eyes can get weak, hands can shake, vaping will continue.
Different strokes for different folks.
I don't know what other way there is to take that.
I have never heard it used that way... "talking to a brick wall" is what I would say if that was what I meant. preaching to the choir - Google SearchPreaching to the choir also means someone has turned a deaf ear to the advice, as in they don't want to hear it, are stubborn about it, etc.. Depends on the context it's used.
Because I don't know you, but I do know that you won't be the only one reading what I say
I've been taking inventory on my small stash, and kind of reorganizing. It prompted me to put a fresh coil in my Nautilus 2 I started with, and give it a go. As popular as bvc's were/are, they just don't compare to any rta's I have. Not that close. And I'm such a tightwad, that I'd always push it on a coil when it was really done, and finish the tank before replacing it. So I wasn't really enjoying that last tank.It sounds hard, but it's just a matter of cutting, winding, and screwing the coil down in place. The hard part is making an efficient wick. I ran across a partially used box of coils for my old Kanger Aero Tank today. I might just screw one in and juice it up to compare and reminisce about my early vaping years.![]()
Because it had content that helped me make my point. No offense intended. Then why quote my post specifically,
