I took the plunge and ordered one last night as well, Jay seems like good guy from our short conversation, just busy.

I have a question about the LEDs on it: Obviously the green is when the button is pressed, does the red one just stay on while the unit is plugged in or does it go out to indicate charge complete?

Thanks to all the positive reviews I am awaiting delivery of my Bartleby. Having only used my 510 with the stock batteries I expect to be pleased to not need to be recharging this as often. Can't wait.

Thanks all.

Welcome! You're in for a treat raz! It's not just the recharging.... ;-)

Red LED goes out when finished but if you vape while on the charging cable both lights will light up. I have it connected when I'm stationary or in the car - get 1amp+ wall plug an car plug - that way you're at peak voltage when you disconnect. You'll be surprised how quick these recharge, esp. if you have a Janty/Joye stick. I thought it must not have been recharging, but it was.

Jay has been straight up with me on all conversations/exchanges. Surprised at the one guy's comments above - makes me wonder what was said ;-) Jay does get straight to the point but has always been cordial.

I'd prefer the V3 button on the Bart but the one Jay uses is pretty solid and doesn't stick out as much as some - madvapes, eg. A perfect 'V4' would be the same size with the 14500 and the black 'rubber'/matte finish is great. An on/off feature would still be nice - they could build it into the switch with a rotation perhaps.
The MadVapes 'horn' button has a very nice feel to it though. I like the smooth light pressure with the indent.

Had my Bart about a week now, and gotta say again this baby rocks. The 510 atty continues to show that it wants to vape at a true 3.7V...three attys that I had given up on ever vaping well have come back like new. That's like another $24 of free stuff! And unlike the 510 PT, I simply cannot vape this hard enough to outrun the charging...it is always topped off when plugged in and I start with a fresh batt.

Found out too, that it fits easy into one of the pockets of my Case Logic tote case:

Micro Center - USB Thumb Drive Shuttle Case

In fact it fits much easier than the mega batts I had in it before. Haven't touched those, BTW, since getting the Bart.

Be smart, get a Bart!

I have a cigarette lighter (car) to USB adapter that puts out 500 milliamps, my question is can I plug the Bart into this to "trickle charge"? I know this adapter would not power a passthrough, but with the bart it seems like a vape always draws from the battery and the USB basically charges the batt. Sorry if you don't understand what I'm saying, it's a little tough to explain. Any insight?

I put the Bart into the same case on vacation. Works great. I've made a few snips in the netting on the left side to accomodate the Bart. Always turn it off when carrying. Can't say that enough here.

You should be good - as Willy points out the charging cable isn't really a PT and yes, you're running off the batt. 1amp is just a bit faster on the recharge. I'm guessing that it doesn't take long for the red led to go off even at 500ma.

This is what I figured, thanks for the confirmation :thumb:

Has anyone tried to replace a switch on one of these yet? Mine is finally starting to give out from use and I can't expect Jay to guarantee the switches forever. I've just started down the modding path and thought about replacing the existing switch with one of the ones I just got from MadVapes.

Thoughts?

Update on this:

Turns out the switch wasn't bad after all. It has a recessed 901 connector and some unseen juice - a very small amount - was causing a short on the backside of the switch. After cleaning with a little alcohol and sealing it with some epoxy I'm back in business.

Just correcting the record. :)

...... and I will still keep a place in my heart for the Joye 510.

I wish I could say the same. With the consistency of more vapor and better TH on my Bartleby, I don't think I could ever go back to my 510 stock batteries. Its a shame too because I just bought a PCC and more batteries for it. Oh well, I am going to order another Bartleby now for back up. This device is amazing.

THATS what I am talkin about! I LOVE my Bartleby! Well worth the $$ and once I did the PTB mod, it was like 2 different Vaporizers!

Cybervex is VERY responsive to questions/emails and ships very quickly! I got mine in about 3 days.

I missed the 5% discount though...(he offered it after I ordered and received). Thems the breaks!

First off, Mooby, excellent video review. I've seen a bunch of your reviews on this site and they've all been thorough and informative.

My question is, what is the "touch" version that was mentioned earlier in this thread? It was never described in any detail, other than that it doesn't have a button. It's also not mentioned on cybervex's site. Was this a one-off prototype thing? How does it work?
