I have read the DIY Guide which lists parts and has links to spreadsheets. Looking through the DIY recipes and stickies, I still do not see any "basic" flavor recipe. It appears as though every DIY out there is attempting to create a masterpiece. I would think that many would simply like to get the hang of something simple first before venturing onto the complicated. Could somebody please post a basic recipe that does not require loading other programs?

It could cover pg/vg mix/only base options and adjustments for nic levels and dilutes(vodka/water) and the percentages of base and flavor for something do-able. Maybe a plain banana or plain strawberry eliquid. Thanks.

I like to use a 50% / 50 % base of pg and vg mixed together.

I usually use a 10 ml bottle and put my base of the pg/vg to almost 3/4 in that bottle.

Then i use 100 mg nic / add about 10 drops for around 9mg to 10 mg nic total. You can adjust this up or down.

Then i add my flavoring to almost fill the 10 ml bottle..and shake. You can adjust the flavor level up and down as well.

This yields about 9 ml bottle of my juice with approx 9 mg to 10 mg nic.

I never properly measure but this is how i do it. And i do like my flavors strong so i usually use 15 to 20 percent flavorings.

Can't say what suppliers use as I am not one. We are DIYers here and I doubt a supplier would say.

Actually Loranns usually needs a fairly high percentage compared to PA or FA. Yes, they come in larger bottles...

You sure you read the flavoring guide sticky'ed above this one? There are links there for ordering from Lorann directly so you can get bottles larger than a dram.

Also we usually start with small (3ml or less) batches when trying out flavors for the first time so when it doesn't work there is less to pitch. So the dram bottles work well in the early stages.

The recipes that I like that use Loranns are usually closer to 30% flavor than 15%.

I found this calculator very helpful. I made my first ejuice using Mcormicks flavoring yesterday. Strawberry and coconut. Came out very good. Not sure if you have this

Ok i am starting out getting supplies. If i get 36mg unflavored nic in pg 60ml bottle and I get a 60ml bottle vg and add it to that wouldn't that make 120ml 18mg unflavored nic? Then I can separate it out in 10ml or whatever and add flavorings and what not until desired? Do you have to add distilled water? If i want 16mg wouldn't
I use 80ml instead of 60?
