I rarely start my own thread ,but this was brought up by someone awhile ago and not really covered .I would like to know what others as well as whatv4l has to say :)
I only use xl manuals .Some of my newer cool carts and ALL of my cool cart blanks do not screw on ONE of my newer batteries .( threads dont match up ) .Has anyone else had this problem ?
p.s. it does work with old and prefilled cool carts .I rarely use wows so i am not including that here .
Thanks ! I am a little hesitant to order new batts of any size until i know the problem is solved .

Hmmm...that is weird, especially since your older blanks and prefilled do work with that battery. Perhaps demonic possession? I have not experience that problem so I can't add any personal experience on the matter. The only thing I could guess would be an imperfection in your batch of blanks where the thread starts added to a slight imperfection of that specific battery thread. You could try sanding the battery threads a little and see if that cures the problem, it won't hurt your battery with other carts.

The tolerances are so tight on the threads and your issue is so unique I think this might be the culprit.

Hehehe....we posted on top of each other...hilarious...gmta! :p

Whistles.....

Watch this.....

‪Vapor4life Tips, Tricks & Fixes for Cartomizers‬‏ - YouTube

This has generally occurred with Auto Batteries and Auto Passthoughs when used with Premium Cool Carts only. I think your problems are similar but unrelated since Waylon's older blank Cool Carts and Cool Cart prefills do work with her battery.

You can use 400 grit sandpaper or a simple nail file/emery board should do the trick, you won't void your warranty, nor will you damage your PT or prevent it from working with your other Cartos.

I was thinking the same thing at first Whistles....but...how do you explain that this problem is not limited to just her blanks Premium Cartos, but her new prefills Premium Cartos as well? Since her old prefills and blanks work fine.....I'm going with demonic possession.

Of course, if it just a case where the Carto is not catching the threads, then it would be wobbly and the base would appear like it's too big. There have been issues before with Cool Cartos, which is why it has been recommended to sand down the threads. In most of these cases though the Carto has threaded half way down, then became stuck not allowing the posts to engage.

The only other thing it could be is the blank and prefilled Cartos both have posts that are abnormally high, contacting the battery post and preventing the battery from engaging the threads, but that would one of those 1,000,000 to 1 type of things. It would be an issue so large this board would be buzzing all day long about it since it crossed over from Carto batches.

Need more info Nancy......:pop::pop::pop: The mystery continues.....:p

If you visually compare the posts between the new Cartos that just spin and the old ones that work fine, does it appear there is any difference in post height? If not, we back to square one...sand the threads down on the battery. Hopefully this will allow the Cartos to screw on and work fine. You've probably seen my vid on it, so you know a nail file or emery board will do the trick.

Give it a shot, at this point you have nothing to lose. It won't damage your battery for your other Cartos.

O.K.....well I think Natalia has answered the question....

I fixed 'em! YMMV, but I took a small screwdriver, not eyeglass small, just a small standard screwdriver. I stood the carto thread side up, put the screwdriver on the post and tapped the top of the screwdriver with a small hammer lightly a few times. It drove the post into the carto a bit... enough to allow the threads to catch. Now the cartos screw on all batteries and adapters!

I metered the cartos to be sure there was no change to the ohms before and after, and they didn't change. The ones I've filled work perfectly, just like my older CoolCarts!

So do what Natalia did and tap the post on the Carto up a little higher......and we'll see if that does that trick for you.

Sigh. I really hate to have to say this, but I agree. :( Chinese QC needs to up its game.

Yes, and there's nothing wrong with making improvement a goal........and I'm sure it is. Remember how crappy certain makes of cars were for several years? Dying at 70,000 miles, rusting in 3 years, etc? We don't see much of that anymore ....

I think since this is still a new, growing and obviously competitive industry that it will only change for the better; it will just take some time, I guess.
