I keep seeing all kinds of different batteries! What's the difference and which ones are safe to use ?

I've seen: AW IMR - AW IC - IMR High Drain - Li Ion - Flat Top - Button Top and so on and they
were all 18650 batteries ! I've Seen 18650's that said they were 1600mAh, 2000mAh, 2200mAh and all
the way up to 2700mAh and 3100mAh ! I'd like to have the longest lasting battery I can get But I want
it to be SAFE TOO !

My Provari V2 came with Red AW IMR 18650 3.7V 2000mAh and Red AW IMR 18490 3.7V 1100mAh batteries.
But I keep seeing people putting other kinds of batteries in their Provari ! And I'm Getting Really Confused !

Any Help / Guidance Would Be Greatly Appreciated !

Thanks In Advance :vapor:

The red jacket AW IMR 18xxx are safe chemistry batteries and the safest batteries. I would highly recommend using the same batteries that came with your Provari. Those are the recommended batteries for that mod. The mah is up to you but don't put too much faith in those high mah numbers. They are mostly exaggerated. Mine are 1600 mah and they last me all day.
