Here is the situation: I put this question in the battery thread yesterday but nobody has replied.

I have a Apollo V tube and Have been using AW IMR 18650 3.7v 1600mAh batteries and it works good. The charger for my AW IMR 18650 3.7v 1600mAh batteries broke.

I purchased a Maxi Roughstack V2 Kit from Mad vapes and it has a (Trustfire) universal it actuall has a large N- with circles on it
on th back it says model HG-1206W input AC100-240V47 -63HZ Output 1.2V/800ma 3.6V/700ma and says it automatically selects charging mode Supports 71.high 19mm ni-mh/ni-Cd/Li-ion rechargeable batteries.

I forgot to ask will it hurt to charge together and Aws and Trust fires the Mahs are different?

Can I use this charger to charge my AWs and The trustfires that come in the Kit. The Trustfires are Tf 18650 3.7 v L-ions.

Please excuse these newbie questions I just love living with the face I have and don't need any plastic surgery.

The answer is that it will work fine, but is not the ideal charger.

It is designed to charge either 1.5 volt regular rechargeable main street batteries like AA, C, and D cells; or 3.7 volt lithium cells. You might be better off with a specialist charger for lithium cells although some would say this is splitting hairs.

Also the charge rate of 700mA is fairly high. This will result in fast battery charges but reduced battery service life. It depends which you prefer. I like to treat mine easy and give them around 400mA, and less would be fine by me - but I've got a box of them and am in no hurry. No need for rapid charges.

Like most other ecig stuff, the best answer is probably to have a bunch of spares. This applies to chargers as much as anything else. When you have a selection, you can pick one that does the right job on the day - it might be for a rapid charge, or a slow and steady trickle instead; or a full charge to 4.21 volts (the max), or a gentle charge to the 4.16 volts that will give you maximum battery service life.

If you trickle charge it at 300mA and only take it to 4.16v, the cell will last about double the number of charges than if you do a rapid charge and pump it to the 4.2v max. It's whichever you prefer. In order to choose, you need spares and alternatives. There is no substitute for backups, in the ecig world.
