Just thought I would bump this back up since it seemed to be a concern. Good to see you back leaford! I did wonder what the reason for the other changes to the battery were though if you don't mind.

"Other changes?" RB37 and Ko Josen both already reported that they were mistaken about the LED not staying lit during charging. The only other "change" is to the power post. They used a different supplier is all. The difference is cosmetic and makes no functional difference. I haven't noticed any difference in performance anyway.

I changed the ashcap for two reasons.

For one, as someone mentioned, it makes it look less like an analog, which I've always supported.

But the bigger reason was that while a traditional ashcap curves right from the join with the tube, scattering the light mostly forward, the "target" cap extends straight for a milimeter or two, scattering more light to the sides. Meaning that the "target" cap has an edge which lights up and is much more easily visible to the user than the traditional ashcap. I hate it when I can't see the LED.

I agree with that!

I'm going to sound like a PIA again, but IMO this should have been disclosed, either here or (better) on the website. When people are ordering something they've ordered before, and that product has changed (even cosmetically), it's always good business to disclose that fact, update the images, and make clear that a change has occurred.

Actually, I don't think you sound like a PIA (or PITA) at all. You are usually spot on, and once again I agree with one of your well-stated posts.

I agree, disclosure would have eliminated the concerns in this thread. Product consistency is really important.

I still 100% agree with ya on this and your not being a PIA. I't just doesnt look prefessional when a person gets a kit and its got two different kinds of batteries in it and they were expecting them both to be the same, leaving them to wonder what the heck is going on?

Not to worry tho when Red starts working for CS its going to be hard to miss the huge pink POM POM's when they come out guns blazing to let us know something new is here or changed.

Hey slim... I'm trying to nail down your avatar picture. Is that the lead singer from Blondie? Someone helped me out with the Aniston pic a while back, but I can't for sure figure yours out either.

Nope, it's Marilyn Monroe. It's my favorite photo of her. It was taken in 1962, just weeks before her death.

Sure, sure... plagiarize me why don't you. When people order online based on a picture, they expect to get what's in the picture, unless stated in the description that it may vary.

The pom poms were blue. I have the picture to prove it.

Wow... I've never seen that picture of her before. You wouldn't think that would be possible. As it is probably one of the better ones. WTG for exposing me to yet another first. I just love firsts in general. Makes life so much more interesting.

They change suppliers all the time jockying for better prices, greater reliability and better quality. I don't know why in particular.

And yes, I went back to the traditional orientation. I liked the "backwards" orientation compared to most e-cig logos, because that way the logo was upright and legible when held in the right hand. Snce most people are right handed it made sense to me. But, we're developing a new packaging design right now, for retail distribution, which displays the e-cig upright, and in that position the old logo looks upside down. So, back to the traditional orientation.
