I had no idea that these things can be dangerous or rendered useless if left on charge for too long. I guess comparing to my other chargeable electronics, I GROSSLY overcharge and its never been an issue. I think I've only had my laptop OFF the charger a total of 5 times in three years. Man o man.

Learn something new everyday I suppose.

You might want to take the laptop off the charger more often. You may render the battery useless. It happened to one at a place I used to work. The laptop was always plugged and when they went to use it with only battery power, dead as a door nail. (Who came up with that expression anyway  )

Wow that's a lot of information. It might take me a while to read it all, and another few days researching to figure out which parts of it apply to my devices.

You know, I'm feeling pretty dumb right now... I suppose everyone here has read and understands that post in its entirety before attempting to plug their unit into the wall. I don't know why I felt I could just charge the darn thing and have it work.

Of course most of us didn't know at first. That's part of why we're here. :)

And frankly, if these devices are so touchy that they're going to die, or explode, or whatever because I charged it a little too long? I don't need that kind of stress. If you know a vendor that warranties this stuff, that would be helpful. If I pay for it, I just want it to work like it should for a reasonable amount of time.

Ugh, maybe I just go back to analogs. I'm not an engineer/electrician/gadget wizard...

It's not THAT bad... There is always a learning curve with ever new thing.

I've been exclusively vaping for about a month now, and I have never felt better. I can taste and breath freely again. And I enjoy not having the filmy feeling in my mouth, or the jitters when needing a nicotine craving and there's no time to go to a break or outside to smoke.

Hang in there, and don't get frustrated. Everything gets easier with time... and knowledge.

Analogs will kill/harm you quicker than E-Cigs and in the end, your own house can kill you...all it takes is your gas line to have a hiccup (How many of us personally check these lines ourselves?) and yea...in the end, life itself can kill you...just keep your Situation Awareness active at all times.

OP: When you say the light just blinks on and off, you mean constantly blinks on and off when you attach a clearomizer or whatever? My spinner did just that and it turned out that a solder joint had come loose from the PCB inside the device. It was my backup battery and hardly used..just luck of the draw I guess. China QC is not the greatest. Have you tried contacting the vendor about it?

Most reputable venders will work with you. Hiccups happen. You made a good choice when you chose a spinner. Just take a deep breath to calm down and then contact the vender you bought from.

I have been at this for a long while now. Just last week I had a simple ego style battery fail (as in quit working) within the first week of use. I contacted the vender, returned the bad battery and a new one is on its way to me.

If you want to go back to smoking that is your choice but I do hope that you will just realize that things like this do happen and you will invest in backups so the temp loss of a battery doesn't throw you into a tail spin.

A Provari is actually safer than a spinner or an eGo type battery. As long as you use the recommended batteries and the correct charger for those batteries.

I still won't charge any batteries overnight. I have several on hand and when I get up in the morning, I plug the charger in. Three hours later or thereabouts, they are ready. Or start the charging as soon as you get home from work.

Yep exactly! And yep I emailed the place I bought it. I have yet to hear back, but I am not expecting much assistance. The times I've been in the shop I get all this pressure, and even have been lied to in order to make sale of things I don't want or need. The first time I walked in was their lucky day. The second time, and when I knew a little more, they didn't seem so eager to help me. So I wont be back a third time.

Ok, this made me literally lol.

I almost blew my house up with a spinner... You really think I'm ready for a provari? Common man.

I think you might be going just a bit over the top in saying that you almost blew your house up. I have been known to leave my batterys charging overnight. I just do it as safely as possible. The most your spinner would have done, if anything, is vent.
