FWIW - IMR, the term that we use for lithium manganese battery chemistry is really LMR -lithium manganese rechargeable. The lower case L looks like an I and took off as the magic letter terminology for an improved chemistry battery. AW is the initials of a guy on a flashlight forum who started looking for a safe battery for high tech flashlights. He began to buy batteries in lots and test them individually for conformation to specifications. The ones that passed got the AW sticker. The rest were wholesaled back out to other vendors. A highly respected battery company arose from his efforts.
