I'm debating whether to purchase a mini or sl grand. I have a grand but I would like something lighter. The battery life is what I'm concerned about. I vape a 1.6 ohm coil. I would need the battery to get me through work which is probably equivalent to 2 hours of vape time. Would the mini 18490 battery cover that amount of vaping time with sufficient power or should I get the sl grand? Is the sl grand much heavier than the mini? I'm not crazy about the look of the sl versions so I guess I'm leaning towards the mini. Any help would be appreciated. I'm not good making decisions. Always indecisive.

The recommended AW IMR 18490s are 1100 mah. AW recently released a 1200 mah 18 amp 18490 that I suppose will become the preferred mini 2.1 batt... This really comes down to how much you vape. Your 1.6 ohm coil should be a battery saver compared to anything lower, and I'm pretty sure I could get through an average work day on a 1200 mah batt... The 3 ml capacity would be a problem for me though (and in fact, it is a problem for me with my 14500 mini... I have to carry a couple of spare 14500s plus an extra bottle of juice to comfortably make it through an average work day).

I think you'll have enough battery to get through a work day with a mini 2.1... I think you may or may not have enough e-juice in a mini to do so.

Well, lately I use mostly use my mini strictly for work (smaller, lighter etc). I stealth vape and take 3 or so "smoke" breaks a day.

I get full 9hr out of it. Which is basically 4ml of juice. (3ml at work and a top off for the ride home). At the last 45 minutes before I pull in my driveway, you notice the battery starting to trail off some. When I used this exact battery in my provari at 4v and chain vaping carto tanks, I would get around 7hrs.

Btw I rock the mini at 1.2 ohm coils built on an rm2. And yes I use the imr batteries.

You could replace the 3ml bottle with a 6ml bottle and will last you thru the work day. :) See bottle mod thread, tells you where to get the bottles.

Definitely get a bigger bottle if you go for the mini. I've got Grands and a mini and this mini with it's 3ml bottle wouldn't last me two hours. My attie is juice hog though and I chain vape so you need to take those two factors into consideration as well. My 1100mah 18490 batts will last that two hours at .5 ohms but if it were me I'd get the new 1200 mah 18 amps for the added time and amperage.

For what its worth:
I got a 3 years old anodised black and a relative new silver vain. I love my anodized black, it has a very nice feel to it and I prefer that feel over the silver vain. But the silver vain is a lot more foregiving to stains. The anodized black shows the slighest amount of juice, which leaves shiny spots on the surface and can be removed with a paper towel. Same with stained fingers, which will leave some marks on the surface. No problem for me, because I have no leaking problem und I usually don't over-squonk. So I use the anodized black most of the time, due to its charming feel.
Additionally, the black anodized got a beautiful dull/used finish over the years, which I really love.

I have an anodized black Grand and love it. You can also buy different colored doors for it. I like the Emerald green (or any other color). Good luck, you're going to love your Mini! :)

Edit: I put black electrical tape down the sides of my black one because it was otherwise a little slippery to hold. But over about 3 months it's not slippery any more so I took the tape off. When I had the tape on it, you couldn't even see it! :)
