Hello,New vaper here ~ Does any one know what the problem is with my new Kanger e-smart battery it's fully charged and responds to 5 clicks by flashing but if i try to vape or just press on the button it stays unlit so no vapour!

It's just been charged for the first time and i've tried the five clicks 10 times so it is on 5 of those times,it's fully compatible too, plus on checking a solid green light,so it's a mystery that it does not work!

Hope that's clear,thanks for reading.. :)

So, to clarify, with the clearomizer off, the button lights up when pressed. But when you put the atomizer on, the button does not light up?

On those ego / evod batteries, the light should always light up as its completely separated from the connection that heats the coil. Are you sure its on?

If there was a short, or bad clearomizer it would flash. And no contact you would still get a light.

I would triple check to make sure its on. If you are positive its on, its probably a dud. If you have access to a multimeter, you can put the positive lead straight into the 510 connecter, and ground the black lead on the outside and fire it and see if you get a voltage reading. But guess is that it is either off, or broken.

Good luck.

Thanks for the reply,It's the same with the atomiser on or off, just the flashing at five clicks but no other response. ( i did notice that it sometimes would not respond to the five clicks at first couple of tries when 'out of the box' )

Good suggestion about the multimeter, haven't one available.

I've a hunch it's staying at the 'off' setting,so probably a dud ~ i have a spare so will use that.

Cheers. :)

Ok, so its flashing with the tank on the battery or off.

In that case, there is an issue with the battery. With the atomizer off, an ego style battery should have a solid light (this is assuming its fully charged).

If you get a solid light with the atomizer off, and then place it on the battery and you are seeing flashing. That means there is an issue with the atomizer (short, or too low of ohms).

As a last resort, I would make sure its fully charged and try again. If still not working, send it back / return if you still can. Or toss it.

Good luck.

As a last

So sorry your vape experience as not been that good (hello from Lancashire by the way).

I had terrible problems with coils when I first started out and I think that's your problem. Stick with it! I'm smoke free now for over 3 months :)

Hey don't throw away that battery just yet. I was having problems with mine to.

Since I have two chargers I put a good battery on one and the dud battery on the other charger. After charging for four hrs the dud was still red and the other battery was green.

I was told to try cleaning the threads or checking the post on the battery as they can get gunked up. Did both to no avail.

Then I decided to try to see if the post was broken so I got a pair of tweezers and when I just made contact with the tweezers to the post the light came on and the battery then worked as it should when new.

I have had to do this a couple of times after charging but hey it works!!! So try that and let me know if it works for you please.
