Hey guy and gals,i been gone for awhile because thanks to you i found my way and got set in my ways but now im changing things and return for your good advice.
I have been vaping at 1.5 and 1.8 ohms since i started but now changing over to subohm. Ive ordered some things and coils included are .05 and .03 SO while im looking at that i wonder do i need different batteries? I have regulated mods Radius, picos, innoken and samsung 25r 18650s now, should i change that now with the new coils?
Maybe silly question but rather ask the pros than make a mistake on this! I WAS content with my vape till i tried my brothers now im shopping again lol.

Are you sure the coils are that low? Typo error, maybe?

I'm not aware of any regulated mod that will fire that low ohm. The protective chip usually has a low ohm cutoff such as 0.1 ohm.

I have regulated mods Radius, picos, innoken and samsung 25r 18650s now, should i change that now with the new coils?
When using regulated mods, coil resistance is irrelevant. What is relevant is the highest wattage settings you use and the amp rating of the batteries you use.

Sub-ohm coils often require higher wattage settings than standard ohm coils. Check the recommended wattage range of the coils and make certain that your mod and batteries are capable of delivering those wattages.

The radius won't I don't think. The pico… Which one do you have.

You need to comb through the manufacturer's specs for each mod and see how low it will let you go. I'm not even entirely sure on the radius, but I don't think so.

You may want a more powerful two battery mod in any case, if you are headed in the sub0hm direction. depending on your wattage of course, even the best battery for your wattage range may not give you stellar battery life. I'd think 0.5 you could get away with more easily than 0.3 that's starting to get low for a single battery mod although really, wattage is what matters. I actually have a 0.4 ish ohm setup that is vaping Just Fine at 20 watts for me, so it's not ALL about resistance but also what wattage ranges you like. I find it to be an excellent vape although technically it "shouldn't be" for me whatsoever.

Really? I thought they all would. The pico comes with the tank and coils. The radius or innoken wont? I will need to dig out my little books!

.3 is the lowest the Radius will fire. Premade coils are not always the exact resistance they state.
If they are .3 or above the Radius will fire them but it will be at a reduced power output because it only has a 9.5 amp limit.

Im going to dig into the specs on what i have when i get home. The pico i just ordered comes with the melo3 tank and the coils .3 and .5. wait....you use 20 watts to .4 ohms,im a little surprised! I thought you had to crank it up when you go to subohms. I cant wait to experiment again
