Battery Thread Cleaning Tip...

This may or may not have been mentioned on here but thought id post this anyway since I just discovered it.. lol

I always had a problem getting the green gunk cleaned out between the threading on the battery no matter how hard I wrap a swab, paper towl or anything around it and turn like theres no tomorrow.

I then tried using a pin and going around it but it was too time consuming..

So now, I bought those alcohol saturated prep swabs that diabetics use prior to injecting..

So after a normal cleaning, (those swabs are good for that too) I take a new swab and squeeze out the excess alcohol. I then center the battery under it and place a dead cartomizer over the swab press down and turning as if I am putting on a regular cartomizer but the swab is in between.. The battery came out as if it were just shipped to me...

Hope it comes in usefull to some of you..

Newb, if you ever run out of those swabs, all you need is an old toothbrush.

Man that is a hellava good idea. I have used the toothbrush / iso-alcohol thing for years but I don't carry it around with me, but those swab things will fit right into my diddy bag. Super idea!!
