I bought a pair of 18350 battery's a couple weeks ago, I wanted to use them to shorten my VAMO and I have a new mod on the way that I also want to use it in.. Anyway now the batteries are only charging to 3.7v where before there were charging to 4.1v.. Anyone ever have this happen? They are AW brand.

Can't blame 'em, considering your location!

Seriously, have you checked your charger output voltage?

I don't currently use any of these type of batteries but I do have experience with rechargable batteries in general. Sometimes the charger goes bad. Sometimes if you discharge them to the point they don't work they wont charge properly. And sometimes you just get a bad one thad made it through quality control. It does happen. Some places will offer a short warranty on batteries but most don't. I would contact your supplier and see what they offer. You might be able to get them swapped out.

This is a cheap charger and there is no switch. Last night I ordered a new charger plus new batteries. Not sure why my 2 new batteries went south, it has to be the charger..
It's also possible that your charger may have a switch to charge the lower voltage LiFePO4 cells. If it's set to 3.2 instead of 3.7 or 4.2 then your cells won't be charging properly.

AW is generally considered to be a very good brand. However, if you want to try a different brand my Efest 18350s purchased from Vapor Beast have been functioning as they should in my VAMO. I've charged them using both the Nitecore i2 and Xtar WP2 II charger at .5 amps. The Nitecore automatically detects the battery type and sets the amps.

Thanks for the heads up.. How about other battery brands?

Any battery that doesn't have the word "protected" in its description. I'm partial to AW IMR batteries, but others like E-fest. I think Panasonic also makes unprotected IMR batteries.

Trustfire and other protected batteries won't work in a Vamo. The circuits in the Vamo detect the circuits in the battery and won't let the Vamo fire.

I've been using VAMO and Trustfire 18650's 3k mah together for the last two months and have yet to have my Vamo shut down because it detected the circuits and stopped firing. In any case, they work with mine just fine.
