I am adding additional tank choices to the istick Prize
Mini protank 3
Mini Aerotank
iclear 30B
iclear 30S
I must agree I like your choices...there is something here for everyone...but I have a problem with the iClears...I can't use the metal drip tips....so before they became popular I was using a "condom" that I cut the end off of an old cartomizer rubber top...because if I use the metal tips my lips would get dry & chapped....but I did like it with the swivel tip...

There are times I think I am vaping wrong because I just can't let the wattage go very high before it feels too hot and burning. Everyone else is going higher and higher! What would 150 watts be like when I often need to move down my setting from 10 or 11 to 8 or 9 watts? With my kayfun lite I seem to like it just under 10 and I have 20 excess watts with my 30 watt device!

I don't get it about going higher either. A lot of my juices taste better with lower wattages, and I like the cooler vape. I just refilled my Subtank with a different juice and had to dial the wattage down to 10 watts for it to taste really good. The last one I tried was good at 20.

Well as I'm starting out here today, I believe I'd like to try out this Bad Boy! I don't have a 26650 Mechanical Mod yet and I would think that this would be the one and since you can use an 18650 also, it sounds perfect! :2cool:

Again, thanks for the contest! :)

The Kryptonite is gorgeous! I have one and use the Big Buddha on it. It really looks and vapes great! It works very well with the 18650 battery tube inside.

This is mine, alongside the Chi Meghan. I got them all at Cactus of course!

What is your preferred device and atty/tank and why?

I really like my Magneto Mechanical, along with the Lemo! :2cool:
The Magneto is a real good simple and sturdy stainless device, that uses the 18650 and can adjust down
to use the smaller batteries too and love the solid magnetic button with lock ring & the engraved spider!
The Lemo fits this device well and vapes real good at most any coil build level! :vapor:

I find that lowering my power can make the flavor better. The opposite appears to be true for lots of others. I discovered this when my egos used to start to lose power and I found that the flavor was better. Not every time and not every flavor, but it was certainly evident sometimes.

(3) Do you DIY your own juice?
Same as before.....I have and I can but there is something about some vendor juice's that I can not duplicate...I am not sure if it's the brand of nic....but I think it's like having someone else make you a cup of coffee...it just tastes better

(4) What is your funniest or most interesting vape related story
Most interesting for me......I PIF'd most of my winnings last year...started kits mostly and a large ziplock bag full of juice.... One of the recipients was so overjoyed with them that she almost cried...It was a great feeling for me to see that I could help someone else who really needed it....She isn't able to do much online so I plan to PIF her some more of my winnings this year also.....

A lot depends on the type of plastic used for the tanks. My Vivi-Nova tanks are over 2 years old and have been used with my DIY Lemon, Lime and Grapefruit juices with absolutely no cracking or scoring, even if left sitting for a week.

My Orchid has been used with my Lemon, but are always loaded with my go to flavors. Menthol-Mint, Espresso or Coffee, Absinthe and some sort of Tobacco, not sure if any are "tank crackers" but they are my ADV.

I have had but one tank ever crack on me, it was an old AnyVape bottom coil I had tried a while ago, never replaced it. The plastic used was noticeably different, clearer and more brittle, even before adding juice.

Yeah, I've accidentally forgotten and put some tank crackers in my Orchid, as well as a few other plastic tanks, with no ill effects, but I do try to remember to reserve the plastic ones for juices that aren't tank crackers.

I agree that it depends on the plastic. One of the good things about having some plastic ones is that you don't have to worry so much about dropping them. I get really nervous when I take my Big Buddha out on the Kryptonite to show it off. The 26650 mods are really stable about setting them down, but that big beautiful expanse of glass on the Big Buddha makes me very afraid of dropping it!

I did not know that you could use 18650 batteries with a 26650 device and I just went to the link to read about this. That is interesting that a sleeve adapts the battery size to work in the bigger tube. I have never been interested in a 26650 mod because I did not want to have to buy different size batteries, but this changes everything. Would never have known about this if not for your post!

My next favorite atty is the Kanger Subtank Mini I won somewhere... let me see... oh, yeah! Right here.
[emoji5]
At present, it has to be attached to my iStick as I have nothing also that will drive it. It did get me started on coil building, and I find it pretty easy to do.

I'm really glad you like your Subtank Mini :) It's also good that it got you into rebuilding, because now you have so many options of which toppers to try!

3. Do you DIY your own juice?

I DIY about 95% of the juice I vape, as a lot of vendors either don't have a lot of high vg options, or they had sweeteners which I don't like

I know what you mean about some of the sweeteners. I bought a juice once, and it tasted like I was vaping pure aspartame. Yuck! The aspartame flavor was as bad as the one that tasted like strong perfume!!!

Kathi, I'm curious to know one thing. When you use your Subtank at 10 watts, is this with a the RBA part built to higher ohm? Or do you go down to 10 watts with the .5 ohm coils?

The tube is made of delrin, and you just put it into your mod, then slide the 18650 battery into that, and it works really well. I used mine with an 18650 when I first got the Kryptonite, because the 26650 batteries were charging. It's a great design!

I do like the battery life and power of the 26650 batteries though!

Right now I have the stock 1.2 ohm coil in it. I decided to try both stock coils first, because I plan on ordering a pack to keep for when I'm on a trip and don't want to rebuild. I wasn't sure which I would prefer, so I tried them both. I think I will buy the 1.2 ohm ones, because they will fire on any regulated mod, and they are very nice. (I have an MVP 2.0 and a Vamo 5 as well as the E-Mech, so the lower ohm ones won't fire on two of my mods).
