Thanks, I figured that was the case because .5 at 10 watts would be so low. Funny you mentioned the mvp2 and vamo 5 as those are two of my main mods and I hoped I could use the Subtank with them, which I guess I could using the 1.2 coils or the rba part built higher.

Right now I have the stock 1.2 ohm coil in it. I decided to try both stock coils first, because I plan on ordering a pack to keep for when I'm on a trip and don't want to rebuild. I wasn't sure which I would prefer, so I tried them both. I think I will buy the 1.2 ohm ones, because they will fire on any regulated mod, and they are very nice. (I have an MVP 2.0 and a Vamo 5 as well as the E-Mech, so the lower ohm ones won't fire on two of my mods).

I did not know that you could use 18650 batteries with a 26650 device and I just went to the link to read about this. That is interesting that a sleeve adapts the battery size to work in the bigger tube. I have never been interested in a 26650 mod because I did not want to have to buy different size batteries, but this changes everything. Would never have known about this if not for your post!

I know what you mean standin and I have A LOT of 18650 batts & no 26650's but I think I would get me some of these too if I had a 26650 Mod, as these have superior mah's compared to the 18650 I believe!
Anyway I was reading up on this Kryptonite and this looks like the one I would choose, as I do love the Mechanical Mods but do not have a 26650 yet and I sure love the 18650 one's I have and I'm always looking for something that's multi purpose and the best bang for the buck and of course quality & good feel and looks too! :) So here I go looking and studying into mechanicals & batteries...much fun & thanks for your comment standinthestars and we have a whole world of vaping info here at ECF and I hope you are checking out all the answer's to your questions here on the forum & there is a lot of info on vaping products & devices right here I see @ CactusEsmokes.com! :vapor: Good vaping to you my friend! :2cool:

I haven't tried it on the Vamo yet, I think it might be top heavy on that, but it works well on the MVP 2.0, so you should be good to go!

It definitely doesn't fire on either with the lower ohm coil. I tried it on my MVP when I forgot I had the low ohm coil in, and thought something was wrong!

Yes, the 26650 batteries are definitely worth buying for the 26650 mods! It's just an added bonus to be able to put the 18650's in when you need to. Sort of like how nice it is to have the option of stock coils for the Subtank, or how the Chi Megan has a ring for the top so you can use smaller toppers on it, and they won't look funny. :)

You are correct,26650's have around double the mah of the 18650's.I just bought some the other day that are rated at 5200 mah.I never really thought i would like the bigger sized mods, but i won a seven30 in a contest, and after using it a bit had to go and buy a 26650 mech mod haha.Just be prepared,if you get the bigger mod,you need to get the bigger tank to go with it,because a 22mm tank on a 28mm or 30mm mod looks a little funny, ask me how i know haha.

The other tanks I really love are the Fogger tanks... I think mine are version 4 and 5. One is bottom fill with a screw you have to take out to fill, sounds like a PITA and at first I thought so but just got used to doing it and having a screwdriver with me. The airhole was a bit small and son drilled it out... he is allowed since it is technically his tank. I actually own few tanks myself, I get all his rejects of sorts. It will get weepy at the airhole at times but since it isn't one I carry out and about with me, not really a problem and not sure it would be a problem even if I did. The 5 is a top fill and works really great for me with no leaks and very easy to fill. Love the flavor I get from both of them. May have him drill out the airhole on this one a tick too. It is fine but may be finer with more air flow... who knows.

The tanks he thought I would love and have terrible times with are the older Kayfuns. As I have said, I choo choo puff and it isn't enough draw for me to keep them primed so I tend to get burnt hits and they tend to leak on me more than any of the other tanks I have tried... they belong to the kid too. I bought a Kayfun 4... it is a gadget tank with all the bits and pieces but really works well for me with few to no dry hits and no leaking. Closing it off and filling is nice as long as the one you have has good gaskets and they seal properly. First one I bought had the red ones and just was poor quality and wouldn't seal down and leaked like a sieve but bought returned that one and bought another and it performs like a champ. For me, it seems to be a juice hog though and I refill it several times a day but great flavor and a tank I don't worry about.

The other tanks I use are the little Aerotanks with the disposable coil heads. they are just handy for small amounts of juice, I get decent flavor, glass tank, and they are great for a jaunt about town. Glass tanks for me are a must too so these just keep sticking around and can't see any reason for anything bigger or better.

That is a problem with ECF... you see all the new stuff and feel you need it. I learned quite a while ago that new isn't always better and it is best with all the stuff coming out so fast and furious these days that waiting to see if it is just a fad or something worthy of a closer look. All the vape gear that has gone by the wayside in the past year makes my head spin... I prefer to wait and let people (guinea pigs) gobble up all the new gadgets and then see what they are using a few months from now... it has saved both me and the kid a lot of $$$ since I have shown him that he doesn't need to be the first to have the latest gadget.

I used to have as many flavors going as I had tanks. Since I had cheap plastic tanks I had lots going at once! Now I find I just vape whatever bottle I have open and usually stay with that one flavor until the bottle is finished. Unless it is a huge bottle. I am not sure why just lazy maybe?
I do pretty much the same thing--except that I still have a large assortment of tanks, so I still have several flavors from which to choose. And the reason why I keep at a bottle until it's empty is more pragmatic: it's so that I can clear space for another bottle from my boxes.

I love my IPV 2x. Wish it had magnets for battery cover, but otherwise it is great. I may be one of the few that don't want/need the double battery, which is one of the reasons that I chose this mod. I have enough trouble keeping track of all my batteries without having to monitor a "married" pair. But I know for others it is a big deal.

did you get that IPV2X from me?

Well as I'm starting out here today, I believe I'd like to try out this Bad Boy! I don't have a 26650 Mechanical Mod yet and I would think that this would be the one and since you can use an 18650 also, it sounds perfect! :2cool:

Kryptonite 18650/26650 mod

Again, thanks for the contest! :)

these are really ellegant and well built mods 1.2# w/o a battery, indeed it is versatile being able to be used w/a 26650 or 18650 battery, the Dynast is also a dual battery mod like the Kriptonite

I know what you are saying and I am with you Stosh...it just makes me wonder what everyone else is seeing in the higher wattage that I don't. So many vapers are talking about how they love their 150 watt devices and my jaw drops open at the thought! LOL

I think very few use them to their full power, I have them and never vape over 50 watts these days, theres no point.
of course they are designed for RDA users rather than the kayfun, Taifun or Aerotank crowd, those set ups were never intended for that power level.
I do believe the 30 to 60 watt range is the optimum range these days, they can do either type of tank or RDA w/o being too overboard

Seen some talk about the plastic/glass tanks.
When I started I got a few plastic ones cause they were cheaper. Had also splurged and got 1 glass tank. Then I learned about tank cracker juices - luckily I hadn't put any in the plastic tanks. Since then I've bought only glass. I have a couple RBAs that came with both plastic and steel - the plastic parts have never been used - wish they had glass so I could easily see how much juice was left in them.
