And now you have me fixating on the maraxus! LOL  Are these newer mech mods? I've never seen them, but then again I really don't shop much in the mech sections of the websites. This thread is exposing me to lots of new stuff. TY for your thoughts on the hand feel. I am big on that because I keep my mod in my hand for long stretches of time.

Big LOL on the stealth vape! This is a "flashy" vape!

It is much more comfortable in the hand than the Maraxus. You pretty much hold it by a large expanse of the smooth part, and the ridges aren't sharp. It's really a heavy and solid feeling mod, and it won't tip over on the table.

I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone who wants to stealth vape though, it's a monster!

been reading about folks using drill bits. Instead of wrapping the fluted end with tape, just slowly drill it into a piece of wood. Once you are at the end of the flutes, just unchuck it from the drill. No more sore fingers and it won't roll away when you set it down. I found a jump ring mandrel at JoAnn's Fabrics in the jewelry section. It will do from 1 mm to 10 mm. been reading too that kayfuns like a 2mm diameter coil. Might have to try that on mine.

Ok on page 117, so I remember where I left off after I post this one...

On the smaller but not alot of wattage, I think I could use this one....

Sigelei Mini 30 Watt

The main use would be for my Naut, Aerotanks and Trophies. Low enough to fire them all yet powerful enough to deal with the newer sub ohm tanks.... My mods and spinners do a good job, but I just can't think that having more control on the wattage wouldn't improve them....

I will let you know Bruce.....

Big plus is the price.

My favorite vape is probably my kayfun lite clone and it really doesn't matter what I vape it on...mvp2, vamo2 - because I rarely find I like to go above 10 watts! I guess I am in the minority! I don't even max out those older mods, so the 100 and 150 mods just seemed crazy to me. Your point about a shift towards the 30 to 70 watt mods is the first things I've heard that makes sense to me, on the "wattage" front.

been seeing a shift in use comments around here (arizona vape scene) that the 30 to 60 or 70 watt mods are becoming more prefered as people are rarely using the 100 & 150 watt mods above those ranges

It is an MVP 2.0 just decorated, over all I do like it, but honestly I hate the ego threading
I thought they were probably similar :) I am very happy with my mvp 2.0, so now I know I do not need the shine. Lol
I like the option for 510 threading and ego threading, because I have tanks that use ego and 510.

I also got Mr. Owl and he is the cutest thing I have ever seen....he sure looks good on my Snowflake modbox...(I added a plastic piece on top by the connector so the RBA won't scratch the paint off)....I hope my eyes will clear up enough today to build him and give him a try by tonight.....I love how he watches me...

(In case you didn't know he's a power animal for me)...

I never saw the need for anything over maybe 50 watts IMHO. I mean, sure the youngsters love the clouds I guess, but really, how many juices can handle that much wattage. Taking my Vamo or Spinners, the taste gets burnt going into the higher ranges. maybe it's me but if i had a 100+ device, I may try it to see how high I could go, but for steady vaping, I can't see more than mid range maybe.(10 to 30ish) So a 50 would cover all my bases and really a 30 that goes low enough in wattage would work as well.

ok check page number....121

Nothing wrong with those that can do high wattage, i just can't see me doing it more than just to try it.....

Like Bruce and his drill bit, sometimes you just can't teach an old dog new tricks..... Some yes, but not all....

NOW - As for "powerband", I'm NOT really absolutely sure yet - but I do think that just might be a different story . . .

Are you serious? You Macguyvered the jig out of mailbox parts and a fly swatter? That is outstanding Slowone2!!! You are making me look pretty wimpy for feeling like this is probably a project that is above my ability. Maybe I will rethink this and check out the video again. See if I can't surprise myself.

I was going to go buy parts to do it but when I looked at my old mailbox the pieces were right there. A dollar store fly swatter handle is almost perfect 5/64". It makes perfect tight coils every time. I've used single wire double wrap wire and triple wrap. You can't make a bad coil with tis even with a few drinks

I am happy with my E Mechs. They do everything I need a device to do. I have an MVP here that I bought basically because I originally saw a $100+ price on the EMechs and figured I never would be able to get one. I couldn't handle the MVP. It took 2 hands. The button for me was difficult to push and in the wrong spot. I put it away and went back to my Spinners. One of those 'thought it was a good idea at the time" things.

I really think that 50 o5 70 watts should be enough. We are in a real vape phenomena right now and everyone seems to want to invent something to try to cash in. Some items have been good and actually furthered vaping... others are a bit out there and more for the quick buck on one side and bragging rights on the other. I wanted every new thing when I first started but quickly realized just how quickly new things were coming along and figured after a few mistakes on either my part or my son's that good devices will stand the test of time so wait a while and see what people say in 3 months or so.

I used to really believe in the reviews I read but not so much any more with people getting free stuff to post a review... most will say good stuff just to keep getting the freebies or those that get the stuff to test for free and also paid for the review itself. I gt better feedback from reading about the people on ECF who have bought this or that talk about them, even if just casual mentions, it gives me a better feeling that they are being honest and not just being a paid hack.

Gear reviews are bad but I am not even sure anyone can really do a juice review since so many variables like gear used, coil, wicking material, wattage, taste buds. Even mine change throughout the day and a juice will taste different in the morning than later in the day. I find juice reviews useful only to look for key words like nutty, creamy, sweet, and the like. Or if they say "The wife won't let me vape this in the house because it smells like old gym socks"

You are doing an incredible job on this thread. Honestly one of the best threads for learning and getting to know the other ECF'ers that I've participated in.

I love all the feedback, suggestions and general participation from you and Kathi. I felt like I was getting behind in my work yesterday trying to keep up and read all of the posts, so today I came in a bit later :) I can't imagine how you both are doing it! Don't forget to eat and sleep please!

Dang 13 posts from me in a row... everyone must have gone to lunch or naptime Ha Ha!

I won a jwrap when I began vaping, before I even had a mod to put it on, I just had my ego twist. I picked out the wrap and selected it for a mod I wanted.....and THEN I went and bought my first real mod! I do thing backwards! I purchased a few more wraps for each mod I got over the next several months, but I haven't gotten one in a while. I just kind of lost interest in them and I doesn't really do much for me, I realized.

I am with you about where to spend the money! I can find much better ways to use my vape budget than $18 bucks on a wrap!

I agree about the wraps. While they can make stuff look unique, I figure I'd rather spend the money on something practical, like another device or tank.

Yes that's why it's yucky looking, used the brackets that held the mailbox to the pole. It's all old parts but even buying new L brackets from had it will be less then $10. I mounted it on a piece of wood because I felt it would before convenient then screwing it to the table. I did polish the fly swatter wire where my coil wire goes. (whoever hit it smashed the box all up and broke the pole in a few places. Neighbors said he got out and Looked at his car and then took off. I know I'm bad but he left my box in the road and never came to me, so I hope it did lots of damage to his car).
