02-24, #5 I think. if it's over then it's not an entry.
I just HAVE to vent. When I opened ECF there was a question in newbie section what VV/VW mod to get.
Well you know out come the P fan club, even though the original post said he(she) wanted 40 W or higher.
Then came the mechanical club even though the original posted said REGULATED.
Along came the bottom feeder club even though the original poster said they wanted to use tank & DRIPPERS.

Of course the original poster needs to be called out too because they wanted something they would NEVER NEED TO UPGRADE. Laughs they had only posted 15 times.

I have nothing against any of the mod fun clubs, but come on folks please READ what the actual questions is. By the time I found the thread it was at 5 pages. Sometimes I think we as a vape community can be self-defeating. I just hope the original poster doesn't say 'screw it" and go back to smoking.

Ok, the soapbox is empty now.

ebayers will do that, from what I hear they wait for an order to come in then order the item from a wholesaler and then send it to you, ( thus a 5 day delay in shipping time ) either that or they are set up on a drop ship system, of course they wont tell you that up front because they want the sale...

Yeah,i have dealt with a few that do the drop ship thing, which a few times worked in my favor, they were located in California, but the items were sent from kentucky, and i would have them in my hand the day after buying.I dont get that lucky very often though haha, and of course that wasn't vaped related items, the one vape related item that i know was a drop ship, really pee'd me off, because it said U.S. seller ships in 1 business day, that took 3 weeks to get to me from China.I cant say too much bad about most of the sellers i have dealt with there, most have been pretty quick, but i have always tried to go through the ones with high ranks too,a few slipped through and thats the ones that have had issues haha.In fact the one that i mentioned not sending the item until 5 days after printing the label is still not here,6 days after the post office recieved it,i can't really blame the seller on that part, now it's on our wonderful postal system haha,it arrived at a sort facility in California last week and has never moved again apparently.I like using ebay, but i think i'm about done with vaped related purchases through them anyway, too much screwing around with my vape mail haha.

I won a jwrap when I began vaping, before I even had a mod to put it on, I just had my ego twist. I picked out the wrap and selected it for a mod I wanted.....and THEN I went and bought my first real mod! I do thing backwards! I purchased a few more wraps for each mod I got over the next several months, but I haven't gotten one in a while. I just kind of lost interest in them and I doesn't really do much for me, I realized.

I am with you about where to spend the money! I can find much better ways to use my vape budget than $18 bucks on a wrap!

I have been trying to do that same "backwards" procurement. I have 5 , .50 cal BMG rounds I found in a house I was helping renovate. I have been telling the wife since I have the ammo, I need the rifle to shoot it in. Hasn't worked so far, but I'm still working on it. :D

I see everyone clamoring for the Subtank and they're right to do so. I love this tank!

This morning I pulled the 1.5 ohm single coils out (it's still fine, I just wanted to build something). I then slapped in a 32 g Kanthal A1 dual coil 1.7 ohm setup. It went in in half the time it took me to make a similar coil on the Rocket.

I wicked it with some Japanese organic cotton that came with the tank and I'm off.

I want another... a frickin' fleet of 'em!

I'll trade a Rocket...

I also want a Maraxus.

And a iStick 50 (but I'd settle for the 30).

And an Octopus RDA just because it would look really nice on my K100.

Reading is Fundamental!!

I find going to the New Members forum, sort by Number of Replies, Ascending -- you get the posts with 0 or 1,2 replies. You can start a conservation with the new vaper that helps, and warn them about "shinyitis".

Great place to hang out and pick off some threads that are otherwise ignored.

This makes me want the Subtank even more!! I am so overstocked with 32g kanthal and I love that you have used yours so well with this...and glad to know that I would be able to as well :)

Has anyone made a negative comment about the Subtank? Ever? It is like a risk free purchase --- you know it's gonna be good!

I find

This one is definitely chit-chat.
Thanks Stosh I'll try and remember to do that. Nothing as bad as feeling ignored, whether it's with a reply to questions you didn't ask or no reply at all.

I read that some people have leaking issues.

Never happened here. Watch your seals and o-rings...

The screw adjustments vs. a spring loaded 510 connection is a result of the increased power in the mods and limitations of the materials and design.

If a spring loaded connection is passing the current through the spring it can add unwanted resistance to the circuit, as the spring becomes part of it. This requires the material the spring is made of be able to withstand the high current imparted, while still having enough springiness to operate. High current, low resistance materials such as copper or gold are soft, no spring....tougher metals would have higher resistance and could heat up as much as the 0.3Ω coil you put on it.

The screw adjustment is the easy answer to provide a good contact and still be able to handle higher power, lower resistance coils. It would be technically simpler to provide a high wattage output if you use a 18-24 volt supply and much higher resistance coils than are currently used. Unfortunately this is not an option using the current crop of 3.7 volt batteries for size or weight.

Thanks Stosh, now that you mention it, I do remember reading that, months ago. I guess I must have caught that Old Timers disease from Tick!

Thanks for refreshing my memory and letting everyone else know why they use screws instead of springs. :)

I felt much the same way when I joined ECF. I was a noob (comparitively, still am) and I wanted a reliable, inexpensive all day vape. I got recommendations for everything but. I ended up with an iStick 20 (should have waited for the 30) and a couple Anyvape Davide BDC Glassomizers. They've been outstanding. However, I can't recall anyone suggesting these items at the time. I would have left had I not found "family" here and in another thread.

I still don't know how to make a coil. I need a coil master. lol

Making coils is really easy, even with only a screwdriver or a drill bit to wrap them on. I was so nervous the first time I made one, but it's not hard at all, and it makes you feel really good the first few times, when you make one and it actually works!

Still no DIY in sight beyond coils and wicks. But I think it's coming... when I started I swore I'd never build, and we all know how that turned out.

On the other hand, I was disappointed with the lifespan of the prebuilt heads, and I'm not dissatisfied with the juice selection.

Like all devices, there is always a way to mess it up. I hear of people would pull the tank off and don't clean the o-ring before putting it back together and it starts to leak. , Burnt hits are a major complaint but then again, if you know what you are doing, it works just fine, like any other piece of equipment. Hint for no dry hits, prime that coil, drop some juice on the cotton and the side holes.
Most complaints I have heard is operator error really....

ok page check, mmm, p 125....
