my only problem w/the iStick 30 is that it has the same size battery as the 20 so use @ higher power would consume the battery charge rather quickly. IMO the iStick 50 would be a better choice my :2c:
The battery size might be an issue to someone with experience, but compared to 650 mah convenience store eGo kits or 280 mah cigalikes?

My concern with immediately recommending the 50 (as with the Subtank) is that a noob might fall for the hype of subohming and fry themselves. Imagine a .5 ohm coil with wide open airholes on an iSick stepped up to 50 watts at 24% nic for that first hit... even if it wasn't a dry hit (would a noob know to prime the coils?) It would just about knock ya out.

30 gives 'em plenty of room to grow... slowly... and much better battery life and control than an eGo. Pair it up with that Davide I mentioned, and they might never go any further or need to.
I just got through rebuilding 11 smoktech/kanger coils.....I know I should be ashamed of how many I had to build due to putting it off :( The sad part is I am getting ready to rebuild 4 more (aspire nautilus from months ago [emoji15] along with a couple other types....) That makes 15 coils total that I had to rebuild at one time!

OMG....I just found 5 more coils that need rebuilt :( That makes 20 total coils that needed to be rebuilt. I need to be disciplined for letting that many accumulate! Bad Ducky.....[emoji22]

I've got a few here when you're done here. I've had luck with most that I've tackled, but the Kanger BDC are not cooperating...

Sounds like me a couple weeks ago. At least I won't have to rebuild any today when I get to cleaning and refilling all of my tanks later this afternoon...

I also have concerns about recommending a 50w to a newbie. When I first started vaping, all of the huge mods and tanks were not something I was interested in. And a box mod? Faggedaboutit! Even the 650 ego paired with an MT3S was bigger than I was used to, but at least it made some sense in my smoker's brain size- and shape-wise. It was different enough for me to know that it wasn't a cigarette, but close enough for me to feel somewhat comfortable about it.

My fear would be that a new smoker would be put off by the aesthetics and just go back to smoking if they had to deal with something as cumbersome as an iStick 50w and a large tank like any of the subtanks (again, compared to a cigarette).

I'd also recommend the iStick 30w over the 20w any day of the week because of the improvements they made (RMS, better threading, etc.). That said, I wish they had increased the capacity over the 20w--but for those who vape around 10w, the 30w will actually last longer because it does step down.

Try making the BDC heads into a larger, single coil. Much easier--and the performance is as good, if not better.

That's good to know, I'll keep that in mind when recommending something to new vapers. I never researched the iStick, so I had no idea that the battery was the same as the one in the 20. :)

I had no idea either...I just figured the more watts..the bigger the battery. I don't think there is all that much different in price between the 30 and 50. I was thinking to get the 30 because it was smaller in size measurement than the 50. I think the 30 is bigger in size than the 20 also. Heck, I wouldn't mind getting the mini ...it is so tiny I could hide the whole thing in my hand if my grand kids walk into the room.

Wohoo,i will soon be an official cactus esmokes customer haha.Set up an account and started adding to my cart.I have to wait until monday for my bank to clear up a screwed up atm transaction, but as soon as they credit my account back,i'll get to place my first order.Going with the subtank and a sigeili mini as long as they are in stock.I figure i have alot going in march,my birthday is the 7th and my 1 year vaping anniversary is the 19th,so the mod will be my birthday present to myself and the subtank an anniversary present to myself haha.

I don't DIY, but I have tinkered with my e-liquid. I had some 100% VG that I couldn't use in my clearo because it was too thick. I ended up asking for double the nic, mixing it 50/50 with some PG, and adding some menthol drops and some Peppermint drops. It turned out well! I would love to take the time and figure out the correct steps to take to DIY. I'm sure peppermint is not a super hard liquid to make. Only criteria I have, I want it strong and pepperminty fresh!

Then I would say the Flavor West Candy Cane and either a little menthol or Koolada... a drop or so at a time until you get it where you want. Maybe Candy Cane at 10-15% and then .5 or 1% Koolada and see what you think.

With all this talk about the subtank,i think i may be interested in buying one.A question though, how is the airflow on these compared to something like the kayfun v4?I usually use my orchids as my go to tanks, but sometimes depending on my mood and what juice i'm using, they can be a bit too airy at times,so i grab the kayfun v4 with the airflow all the way open, and that is just about perfect.Do these have better airflow than the kayfun lite or 3.1,those were way too tight of a draw,so if it's like those, then i dont want to waste the money, but i'm definitely interested in these,i like the idea that i can throw a new head in it if i'm in a rush or feeling too lazy to wrap and wick some coils haha.

I have heard of people here drilling out their air holes on the kayfun V4 never heard that about the subtank:)

The 20w and the 30w are exactly the same size and shape except that the 30w has a thicker metal plinth at the top which covers the overhand for 22mm tanks and, I suspect, adds to the strengthening of the threads. For some reason, it also makes the device feel a little better in my hand. One of the issues I had with the 20w was that it was actually a little too small for my large hands--the overhanging plinth give me a slightly better sense of grip (if that makes any sense).

Ok thanks to prescription card the $75 med only cost us $9, so I was able to go ahead and order one of the cells I need.

Powerband, while I agree with you about the battery life on the istick 30, size is a biggie for many people on getting it. Hell the battery life on the iStick mini sucks, but look how many people love them because they are so tiny

indeed many smokers I have encountered and asked if they ever considered vaping instead of smoking... the first thing they say is "wow that thing is so big"
my younger step sister has been vaping for a couple of years and was on the cig-a-likes and then stepped up to a twist and evod type set up last time I saw here she had gone to the eroll, said she felt uncomfortable vaping something big like a twist and evod... many strokes for many folks

A lot are VERY helpful. Some push what they use or what they need to sell.

Seems I wrote a long post about customer service in b&m.

I really really wish that I had heard of and joined ECF before I started.
