Just bought a copper Nesmsis Clone from Kidney Puncher, and being new to mechanical mods, I'm quite happy with it. I'm running 18650 without a kick in it, but it does come with a kick ring. Adjustable atomizer pin and firing pin.

I also bought a Sentinel M16 clone... I'm less happy with it. It's good, but doesn't seem to fully accommodate a 18650 (threads still showing on the telescoping barrel). I'd probably be super happy with it if I was using smaller batteries. I'd be willing to bet it wouldn't accommodate a kick.

I'd certainly recommend against a Smoktech Fury-S because of dangerous and seemingly unsolvable issues I had right from the get-go - though it seems like a perfectly new user friendly device.

The Super T Workhorse is pretty much what I want in a mod. When they become available again, it'll be hard not to pull the trigger.

While I really love this mod and want one, as you said....it's not available.
Which is why I wouldn't recommend it for a beginner. They can't even buy one.

Introducing beginners to sold out inventory is counterproductive to building a bigger community of happy vapers.

I wouldn't wish long waits and pre order lists on anyone!
That would turn most same people off of this entire scene.

My first (and so far, only) mech is the "EA Mod clone" by EHPro, sometimes called the Fallen Angel (it's a clone of the Electric Angel, which is a clone of something else!), and it's fabulous; telescoping, which I love, floating center pin, button is easy-press and easy-lock. A lot of the reviews I've watched seem to find this clone better than the Electric Angel itself, in terms of materials-quality, thread-machining, and functioning of the firing button -- and it's at least $50 cheaper than the Electric Angel, or even more -- mostly the EA runs about $100, but I got my Fallen Angel for $39.95 at litecigusa.net.

The workhorse was still available when I first looked at it. No lock ring was my biggest concern. Great buy though for a US made authentic mod.

Ya
It will probably be my first legit mod
Purchase. (Which is funny because I have a shed full of mechanicals, all clones).

I'm not afraid of no lock, if the design is solid

Lately, I've been rockin a Vapelyfe copper clone with no lock and recessed button that's an absolute dream.

My first mech was an Infinite Tree of Life. Got that plus a Stillare and it was and still is a great mod/RDA combo; plus they look awesome together. Seems like a lot of people go for a Nemesis or a Stingray and while they are great devices for beginners and experienced vapers I don't think it's all that necessary to get a "beginner" mod.

If you are careful and understand how the mod works I can't really think of a reason to get any single mod over another in regards to ease of use. Just choose whether you want a solid/single tube vs. telescoping one etc.. Decide which features you want and then pick accordingly. Within a day or two of use you will have it down with out any issue regardless of the mod. RDA/RBA are a bit different as some are considerably harder to build on than others but even then you'll figure it out soon enough.

I just wanted to make sure I understood it well :D

This is what I liked about the stingray: floating pin in the top cap, vent holes in the top and bottom, air channels in the the top cap for any atty that needed them, the switch and the look.

So far I'm doing great with my rbas: kfl+ (though that was borrowed from a friend), Taifun GT, Eleaf Lemo, Rose v2, magma and rm2 for my Reo. I started with the rm2, then the kayfun. The other 3 I got and built within the last few days.
