I tend to just buy stuff, but I shop for deals, and I'm willing to wait for most stuff from ft if the deal is good. Sometimes it's hard to say no to good deals like the sigelei 75w for under 40 bucks yesterday... But I said no! I'm so proud of myself. I'm probably gonna wait for the next round of devices. I've already seen the new sigelei, so I assume ipv will be releasing something soon too? I've got a mini 2 right now that's been though hell but still works so I'll wait a bit.

Want to thank you all for your replies. I guess I've been feeling guilty about my 'initial' investment continuing for nearly 3 months and the constant flow of vapemail. But it's been in line with what I would've spent on nasties. And it's been more than just hardware, I'm well stocked with rebuilding and diy supplies. So I'm ready to reap the savings.

Besides black Friday is just around the corner and I'm starting to look forward to my annual new $25 smartphone!

Well...
My girlfriend switched from evods to a Istick with a Nautilus and has stayed there since...and is quit happy doing so.
I also went from Evod to Emow to Istick. And for 5 months we were happily vaping along.

But something changed in the last 2 months, while my girlfriend is still quite happy with her setup, for me it is a different story. In the last 2 months the shinyittus struck me. :D

The Istick was replaced for a Sigelei 75W, and next came a SX Mini M and it will soon be sharing my vapetime with a Xvostick.
My tank story is a bit the same, the Nautilus was replaced with 2 subtanks mini, then 2 Kabuki's were added, and I now wait for 2 RTA's to show up, the Merkava and a Kayfun lite plus V2.

I also have heavily invested in DIY bases, aroma's, wire, cotton, spare parts and DIY tools, and have also been stocking up on factory coils for the Nautilus/Kabuki and subtanks.

But now I have enough stock to last at least a year...so I am ready to quit buying for quite a while. The DNA200 for example is not even tempting me....I have good setups now for my vaping needs....so I hope they will last a while...because the last 2 months were expensive

I shop like a 4 year old with a platinum card.
That being said, there are a few setups I keep going back to, but I do put new stuff into rotation pretty much as soon as I get it. Sometimes that results in something "old" getting put on the back burner in favor of something new(ish) for a while.

I have dozens and dozens of expensive mods/VW/TC/RBAs/RDAs and rotate at least 4 a day to get different flavors. I also have a couple hundred different flavorings to make my own eliquid. I started vaping about 4 years ago. I was spending over $400 a month for Marlboros so I've saved enough between not doing that anymore and making my own eliquid that I still come out to the good. I've mastered making my eliquid to the point it tastes much better than store bought premium or expensive juices. I can clone anything out there if I test it for a while.

I still buy new stuff frequently but I enjoy it. It's a hobby now. Making my own eliquid is fun too. It's saved me a lot of money. :vapor:

Kanger Kbox. You can find them online in 15-20 range. They do use a 18650 and do not have a on board charger. The chip these use is a marvel of simplicity. Just afew basic settings. Most importantly a battery level indicator.

Tank is an Orchid V6 from Fasttech. About 10 bucks. Tank is glass so order extra glass for a buck. The Orchid is very forgiving of building and wicking. And afew minutes with a Dremel tool can turn them into something even better.

Camo duct tape is a user installed option.

I think once you buy a few of this and that, you start to realize the gimmick from the innovation. I know I bought a bunch of gimmick stuff and learned my lesson.

When you realize what vape you like then you learn what to buy and what to wait on. I think everyone that is into advanced stuff needs at least

1 tank sub or not, for out and about or lazy days
1 Genesis tank for flavor without dripping
1 dripper for relaxing and flavor testing/tasting

Of course that's a perfect world lol. Most of us have drawers full of this stuff, lol. That's why you throw it on ebay, classifieds, or craigslist and recoup some money to spend more.

I smoked 1 brand of cigarettes for 35 years. I used 1 zippo lighter for almost 15 of those. The most frustrating part of vaping is that I have 2 mods and 7 attys. I also see me buy 2 more mods in the next year. At this point It's kinda like when I started smoking, I didn't have a brand. You smoked what you found, scrounged or bummed. Untill you found "Your" smoke.

The first few months of my journey were filled with vape mail. Now, not so much. I keep wanting to upgrade but I look at what I have and think I really don't need it. I've managed to collect a vast array of tanks (8 Kayfun Lites and 11 Kayfun v4s) but don't need a lot of power because they don't require it. So I do have 3 PVs, a Sigelei mini 30W, an iStick 50, and an Evic VT. Put that together with the 800ml or so that I have in juice and I haven't had any serious vape mail in about 6 months now. I keep telling myself that I'd love to have an iStick 100... but my setups don't need 100 watts. So why bother. I am on the mailing/notification list for an authentic Velocity and if I get that, I'll probably need to upgrade to a more powerful mod. We'll just see if that comes to fruition. I was wanting that for my one year anniversary but still haven't gotten any emails letting me know they are in stock.

I've been frugal. It helped to settle on fasttech rda's and buying only a few mods. When I go from buying 240 mm bottles of eliquid ($1 a day) to DIY (about 20 cents a day) the money saved should be enough to buy all the hardware I might want. Smoking cost me about $3,000 a year in Michigan. It should be easy to keep vaping under $400 a year and still have a quality experience.

Pretty satisfied with my 2 rDNA40's, eVic VTC mini and my STm's.

A few months ago I realized I was getting carried away with my vaping and dialed it back a few notches. I had forgotten why I started doing it in the first place, which was to replace smoking. So I lowered the power, tightened up the airflows and am working myself back into M2L, or at least closer to it.

I love my Velocity, but recent information surrounding nickel has me setting it to the side, and I don't like dripping with kanthal. I would like squonking with kanthal though, so I am on the lookout for a regulated squonk box, but I am in no rush for it.
