Only 10 analogs a day. I open the pack late in the evening and it lasts me until after lunch. Then I finish cleaning and dry burning my T3s and vape for the rest of the day. I thought that the liquid was to blame, or the device. But for the last 45 days my T3 have been performing stellar, I got nice liquids from HHV, my nic requirements stopped fluctuating (I settled for about 15 mg), and I finally was able to vape without downgrading.

Still, come bedtime, I want to smoke. I vape 24 mg liquid, yet I need to smoke. And after 7 months it's no joke. Many days when it's a bad day I have to keep refraining from smoking. Just today, I didn't go out and at 12 AM I'm thinking about getting dressed and dashing off to the gas station to get a pack of cigarettes.

Still I think that vaping should be enough for me. But I can't shake off the thought of cigarettes almost all the time. Most days I vape without any problems. But come night, and I can't live without a smoke. I even watch vaping videos while smoking...

It is hard for most people. I was lucky and my first vape mail got me off cigs completely. It is a mindset. This is a hard habit to break. All of the added chemicals make it even harder. You are doing fine. Cutting back is good enough. You can work on cutting back more but DO NOT beat yourself up over still smoking cigs. Each person's quit is different.

Each cig not smoked is a milestone. If you need it, get some WTA juice, as stated by Ed. I have not used any WTA myself but I have read posts about how it helps with serious cravings, which it sounds like you are having. Stay the course and you will succeed.

I don't know, but maybe it's because you are using 15 mg all day and it's just not enough, so when you are having a craving and you use the 24, it's too late. Maybe try using the 24 all day for awhile so the nic can build up in your system and see if it keeps the cravings from hitting you in the evening. Also, if you think it's psychological, what worked for me was telling myself I could have a cig or a vape, my choice. Giving myself the option made it easier to vape because just knowing I could have a cig without guilt was all I needed. If you are fighting to not smoke, all you want to do is smoke, but if you tell yourself you are allowed to have a cig if you want one, you may not want one as much. Maybe that won't work for you, but it worked for me and I haven't had a cig in nine months. More importantly, I haven't wanted a cig in nine months. But I still tell myself that I can have one whenever I want. Telling myself that I can never have one again would only make me want one.

Yeah, I know. I have issues. :)

Don't feel bad. I vaped from 9-6 at work for months while smoking on the commute and at night. I was putting down a pack a day plus 1-2 mls of juice. Something clicked in January and I haven't had an analog since. I feel I will always be a smoker but vaping fills the need.

Your day will come, even when you don't expect it to. Trying hard is the enemy of quitting. When all you think about is not smoking all you can think about is SMOKING

I'm the same after 6 months. Over 2 pad before I started vaping, now I'm down to under a pad. It's not easy for me to give up that instant nicotine fix that a cig gives me when I only have a quick minute to step away from my work. I stepped up my nic to 32mg a month ago, and that works great for me when I can devote 5-10 min at a time to cape, but for a minute 30 fix I reach for a cig. Thinking of supplementing my vaping with the patch while at work to kick the smokes... I figure a time release along with the nic on demand that my Reo gives me could do the trick.

You might want to try the NJoy for those quick breaks. Most people who try them say they are a quick fix like a real cig because they are 45 mg so you only need seven or eight hits and done for awhile.

That's a great point. For the first week or so I felt panic if I didn't have a smoke with me, the thought that this smoke was going to be my last was too much and I would want one even worse.

All great pieces of advice above.

Whatever you do, don't go beating yourself up about it. It's a crazy tough thing to do, kicking tobacco. At least you're making a concerted effort to get there. Keep it up!

I went from 2PAD to 3 cigarettes within a week once I finally decided to really give it a go. One thing I did that I think helped me a bit was before I would light a cig, I would take a few puffs off the ecig. After I would do the same. Seemed like it helped to trick my mind a bit.

I think what really helped was finding a really good flavor. After finding something yummy, you really start to notice how crappy real cigs taste!

All that said, there are still occasions I have a smoke, and they almost always involve drinking. Do I beat myself up for it? Nah, a pack that would last me through lunch goes way stale before I finish it. I am cool with that!
