It is simple, but very complicated the more energy you put into it. It is a matter of choice and you have not made the choice to quit cigs. I to was pack a day smoker for 12 plus years and I was able to quit without really any issues. How? Simple, starve yourself of some nicotine for a day or so and before your breaking point, vape..!! All of sudden it becomes your new cig, when you realize it does the job of a cig. It is a mental thing, I just told myself that I was done with cigs and e cig is my new smoke. This is much difficult if you have a pack of your favorite cigs in your pocket and vapor being second choice.. So your problem might be that your giving yourself too many choices. Once you accept that vape is new smoke, you will have no issues giving up your cigs. The problem is now you have trained yourself to do both for last 7months. Usually once you give up smokes the pallet of flavor changes and cigs become less favorable in taste and satisfaction after getting use to vaping. I no longer enjoy smoking as I do not like the taste of harsh smoke anymore due to my vapors. When your cigs run out just try vaping and do not give in the first few days. Every time you want to smoke or the strong urge, vape and it goes away quick. Few days of mental training should help. Hope this helps

Vaping is only part of the solution. It still takes a large commitment and willpower to stay off tobacco. You need to want to quit so bad that your desire is stronger than your addiction. Vaping is that piece of the puzzle that allows you a viable alternative that unlike every other method accurately stimulates smoking and helps curb the cravings.

Short version: suck it up and suffer knowing it will get better with time :D

OK so I disagree with most of the posters in this thread. DON'T suck it up! Vape when you want and smoke when you want. I ask you not to blow the smoke in my face.... ;) But when you are ready to stop cigarettes, you will. Do not be hard on yourself. Relax and enjoy the vape when you vape. Too many people beat themselves up for not quitting smoking and give up vaping because "it does not work for them". Silliness in my opinion. Vaping affords you a variety of flavor while causing less than .001% of the damage of smoking. Therefore, each time you vape instead of smoke is a VICTORY! Try not to forget that.

LOL I had one of those moments last night. I was having some beer (of course) and wanted an analog, so i sparked it, took two pulls, made a face like i'd just eaten a badgers hindquarters, stubbed it, and went back to vaping :). Even though I haven't quit analogs quite yet I am starting to notice the taste and smell difference. The comparison is definitely working in my favour.

if it's too hard to quit smoking entirely, try cutting down

I am trying to stop smoking analogs altogether but it doesn't help when my husband keeps buying the damn things

When I don't buy I'm anxious that I haven't bought. And If I have I smoke them all.

I can't vape the same liquids over and over. My taste buds get used to the flavor and soon I can't vape it no more. I have to keep changing flavors every month. I hope some day I'll find a flavor I want to vape forr a long time.

I have to change flavors throughout the day, I have to carry a little pouch with all my bottles, because I never know when one will call my name! ;)

I'm on day 28 now and I switched over completely on day 1. I know everyone is different, but I started to enjoy physical improvements even after the first 24 hours. That has been the key thing for me and I don't think it would have worked if I had tried to do phase in gradually like other people have. I just wouldn't have noticed the improvements enough to keep me from switching back.

When I have previously quit cold turkey each time it would feel the same way in terms of getting better very quickly, but in the end I just missed smoking and always went back. For me the PV has just given me what I need to just forget about smoking and move on. Right now I don't feel like I've lost anything at all, just the opposite.

I think the right liquid makes a big difference. Even though I stopped smoking on Day two of vaping, I still had an unsatisfied feeling in the mornings with my coffee. That feeling didn't go away until a couple of weeks later when one of the many juices I was trying hit the spot. I knew it as soon as I took the first vape of it. All my unsatisfied feelings went away. I still use that juice often, although not as much as I once did. Maybe you need to try some new flavors and maybe something you wouldn't normally think you would like?

Still I think that vaping should be enough for me.

It CAN be, but I thik you have to put yourself in the situation of not having stinkies to rely on.

I live 30 miles R/T from town, one day I just decided not to pick up any american spirit rolll your own......I went home. I knew I would not be going to town for 3 days....and while it scared me a little, I got thru just fine.

Every now and again I do feel like having a cigarette.......but I just don't. Vaping doesn't make quittiing "magical", just easier. YOu still have to exert some willpower and decide.

GL, I know it is not easy. Get many mods and many juices and just play musical chairs with them all day long. you can do this!

I hate to tell you but there is no "magic ejuice" out there that is going to fix all this. In some respect, this is psychological .... you said you get anxious when you don't buy smokes.

I will recommend one of the best best best books ever written on quitting smoking. This book, if you read it dilligently, a little each day, will "prepare your head" for not smoking anymore.

It's a very famous book, and Carr has helped millions quit: 995 Five star ratings on Amazon, believe me, its a great book, I have it. :)

Allen Carr's Easyway to Stop Smoking: Allen Carr: 9780615482156: Amazon.com: Books

REad the 995 good reviews, and decide for yourself. It is the "easy way".....

I always find it interesting that on a vaping forum, only vaping more or differently is always offered as the cure, but there are a LOT of psychological aspects to smoking, and so just intaking nicotine and blowing vapor isn't gonna solve alll the problems.

Every once in a while I pop in and suggest this book, I think I will do it more often. :O)

I really can't explain it so you have to read the book. LIke one revieweer said: " His contention is that you already know those risks so why condescend and tell you again? He also suggests that you not quit smoking until you read to the end of the book because he is confident that once you reach the end that you will want to quit."

This book makes you want to quit, it's not about scaring you, or about using willpower, or any of that. It provides your brain with MOTIVATION, and CONFIDENCE.

I am! Cinnamon candy is something not normally used here, and I'm also trying different tobaccos. I try as much as I can.

I suggest that you have a battery loaded up for first thing in the morning and start the day with a good vape. Spread out your cigs and definitely put them away where you don't see them. Vape through some of those cravings and taste how good the juice tastes. Say "Gee, this taste great why would I want a cig?" You can move forwards. Don't let those worries hold you back. Build your confidence and tell yourself how great you are doing cause you are doing great!!!!

Every cig you don't smoke is a real victory.

yesterday we went to town ( 1.5 hours to the town) I thougth I was already to spend the day, had my clearo filled, fresh charged battery.. ready to go.. One hour into our drive my battery died...I was like omg now what... My mind started racing...What do I do... I was with my SO which had his battery and the same flavor thank goodness, but my mind was still in a panic. I had to focus, tell my self its ok, I can make it threw with not having my battery and using my SO's battery. It took about half an hour to bring it under control. But in all that not once did I think about buying a pack of analogs. And I was in a few stores that sold analogs before I got my self under control about it. I was more where can I buy single e-cig. It was my first real time since I started that I didnt have my own battery, using my SO's battery helped. So in my mind ive change what I have to have from an analog to a e-cig.
SO the moral of the story.
Have a back up with you always...
And take control of yourself if the worse happens. You can get threw it.
