Benefits of 510 threading over EGO threading?

Seeing that most mech mods (and the Provari?) and RBAs all use 510 threading, is there any advantage that 510 threading has over ego threading? I much prefer ego threaded clearos - the seem more stable, less likelihood for me to break the mod if I drop it and the clearo breaks etc. - and therefore I've ordered e.g. Protank minis rather than full size PTs. But, I'm thinking, there must be some major advantage that 510 has that I just don't understand. Or is it just tradition? Please, enlighten me!

Only one for me. 510 screws in and your done. With Ego threads there's more play to find the sweet spot. To loose and it doesn't work. To tight and you can push the connection of the atomizer up making it flaky. I like both but forced to choose I take 510. Plus it's more universal.

I may be incorrect, but I don't thing there is any advantage of one over the other. However, you will find many more devices that have 510 threading over EGO.

If there is an advantage, I feel quite certain that someone with more knowledge over this will enlighten you.
