Best 24 gague coil build for kayfun on a mech mod.

I tried various coil sizes ranging from .5ohm to .9ohm with 24 gague kanthal. The biggest issue I have is that the coil doesn't heat up fast enough even in .5 ohms and I'm not getting good flavor. What's the best best 24 gauge coil I can make for kayfun?

I'm thinking of trying a widely spaced coil. Or a nano chimney build. Opposite builds, but I hear good things about both of then. I'm not sure what will produce the fast heat up and flavor the best.

The mech mod Im using is Stingray x clone.

I would switch to 26 or 27g. I get good results on mechs in the 0.6-0.7 ohm range with single coil attys.

In a kayfun, I'd use 28awg around 1.3-1.5 ohm

If using a mech, I wouldn't bother to use 24ga. 26ga at the thickest, and I'd personally shoot for 0.6Ω to 0.8Ω.

I agree with the other posts, 24AWG is too thick for a Kayfun on a mech. Go for thinner wire. I like a spaced coil in Kayfuns.

+1 on the 28g wire. 24/26 gauge in the Kayfun lacks flavor for me compared to 28g and can also be a pain to trap the leads. Also had great luck with twisting 30g in the Kayfuns. Really great flavor IMO.
