I've done a lot of searching and I've seen the darwin and the V3 and several others. I've seen a lot of things on the V3. What other mods do you recommend. I don't want a box mod. I'm looking for a cylinder mod that has a lot of battery life. thanks Not sure if I want to go 3.7 and run LR's or run 5 volts with regular atty's.

Provari gets my vote. I've had mine for 2 weeks and it is performing flawlessly. You can go from 3.2-6.0 volts in seconds; check your atty ohms; battery level. Go to the provape thread for more detailed info.

I've checked all of those out. Keep 'em coming. Where can you get provapes in different colors? I've seen them on youtube. Do they still make them. I was checking out the joker tonight and then checked out the reviews. I found nothing but bad things about them, but they looked cool. thanks guys

That's simple IMO: Best 5 volt PV: GLV2 from Great Lakes Vapor.
Best variable volt PV: Darwin from nhaler.com: 2 year warranty (best of any PV on the market); 1 year warranty on the batteries (best of any on the market); built in pass-through - only one that does that; automatically adjusts the power level by sensing the resistence of the atty - only PV that does that.

Can't go wrong between a Provari or Darwin. Neither are perfect, but both are very very nice.
Buzz or Infinity by notcigs. I can't comment on the ProVari as of yet. Mine will be on it's way shortly.
The VV Buzz is awesome and batt life between charges with the 880mAh batteries is about 7 hours for a moderate vaper. For fixed (regulated) 5v, find a mod that takes the 18350 1200mAh batteries (I'm using the "Golddigger" from Aceofvapes), these batteries are good for a solid day or more even for a heavy vaper. This particular mod will even take one of the insanely high mAh 3.7v's if you want it to.
I have a Buzz and like it, although I am a little upset that all of my HV 510 attys from GH1 burned out so quickly (like < one day's vaping). No, it's not my vaping habits or sloppy maintenence since I have two original HV's left. There were some issues with the Buzz, but like instant response and turnaround. The true quality of a product and supplier can be found out when there is trouble.

Stay away from the Joker from Vaprlife! It was defective on arrival, took a week to get a snotty answer back from the owner, and got nailed for $40 in shipping and restocking. I am not the only one, and this site is full of similar complaints.

I'm partial to the notcigs Infinity. I looked at the provari, darwin, buzz, others. I like the size and wheel adjustment of the Infinity, it gets good run time using higher ohm atties/cartos, and the price is attractive. I absolutely like having VV instead of fixed, since with my various cartos and juices it is nice to just slide the wheel to hit the sweet spot. Infinity doesn't have the display of the higher priced units, but to me that was a positive -- I don't need to read the a number to tell if I like the vape, and it means one less potential point of failure.
That said, all the suggestions here are good -- it is nice to have choices.

First time I have seen "Ace of Vapes". They have a nice selection of "better battery" PV's. Are they new? I haven't seen them mentioned before on ECF.
I would like to say, I own a Provari, and a Provape. Both are awesome devices, but the Provari has a better vape. Even if it is set to low voltage settings. It is definitely better and more consistent than anything I've vaped before: Joye 510, Ego, Provape 1.
Having said that, I would also like to add that the Provari gets the job done nicely. But I know that although the Darwin and Provari are the current leaders, I am sure companies like Provape and others will continue to innovate the vaping scene.
Vaping is still evolving and there is great room for improvement. But I'm happy we have these new smart devices.

New to me too darlin', and I bought the Golddigger second hand...but that's where the original owner bought it. I really love this thing. I'd buy a second one or even another mod that took these batteries (18350 1200mAh) and was a fixed 5v or VV. I haven't used my VV Tekk since this arrived. Can't speak much for the vendor as I don't know too much, but the mod is fantastic. Madvapes sells the tube and sometimes they sell it modded, but only for 3.7v or 6v (depending on batt(s) used), haven't seen them offer it regulated to 5v.
Just a glorified flashlight mod with a resistor added, sometimes 5V mostly not. Vaping voltages totally dependent on battery type, condition, state of charge (each drag is basically lowering the volts), age and depending on the ohms of the atty you'll seldom be at the same volts twice.
