I am awaiting a eGo that arrives Monday, but would love to find the best analog loo-a-like. My wife likes to smoke socially and would love to introduce her with somehting that at the least resembles a real cigarette. I thought this would be an easy post to find here, but it seems that all analog replicas are quickly dismissed.

I know all the batteries will suck, but are there any that are at least quality in terms of the vape?

Thanks

EDIT: Just read the Wonderful World of vaping (I know, I know...too late). Seems like the best of 2009 was the Joye 510. Does this still stand?

I second the Volt from SmokelessImage.com. It's perfect for public use and is pretty much just like the "Real Thing"(tm).
I was smoking a pack of Marlboro Lights a day and it's 12mg 555 cartos and 12mg RY4 juice let me kick analogs starting day one from opening the package.
For beginners trying to quit analogs, going with a Volt or Halo G6 would probably be the best starting point.

You can watch a video review of the Halo G6 HERE.. If you read the discussion in that thread you will see the reviewer discuss some differences between the Volt and the G6. Apparently there are some differences and the G6 performs a bit better than the Volt according to someone who has tried them both.

Well, I'll know more when my G6 gets here in about a week.

The 510 is still one of the most popular models. I do recommend an eGo or similar for the extended battery life and ability to keep up with low resistance atomizers/cartomizers, but if you want something the size/shape of a cigarette, its never a bad idea to start with a standard 510 knowing you can "upgrade" later. 306 atomizers use the same connector as the 510--a "Cisco Spec LR 306" atomizer and driptip on a 510 battery won't last long, but it will produce a lot of vapor from something the size of regular cigarette.

There's also this, which actually works surprisingly well, but I wouldn't recommend it except maybe to someone who still smokes ultra slims:

If you want to buy something inexpensive that works well you might consider the FS 510 kits (Joye clone) that myPVshop.com sells. I won one of these kits in one of Randall's contests and gave it to my wife and it works very well and she likes it. You can get it with either automatic batteries or manual or a combination of the two in several colors. The best thing is that it's 510 threaded so if she decides e-cigs aren't for her you can use the atomizers and carts on your eGo. The kit is only $19.79 +shipping when you use the code ECF10.

After officially quitting analogs I was afraid that the transition to my ecig was going to be rough. But it was actually easy. I still find myself "smoking" socially and am just as content with my ecig as I was with an analog. It took me a few days to get used to the weight difference but after that it was cake. A lot, but not all, of the analog replicas are the ones that are advertised everywhere and most of those company's goals are to just sell as many units as possible. After that they could care less if it is a quality product or not. As I am new to the vaping world I can't recommend exact brands or styles, but I can urge you to not sacrifice quality for aesthetics.

Smokeless Image - What you will want, ALL you will want!

The product and the company are just exceptional so check them out.

Also, if you order be sure to use the code "Heatwave" without the quotations and get 23% off your entire order!

I am a volt user and I love it. I was wondering where did you get your signature?

1. Joye 510 manual (see Liberty-Flights.com and press the 20% off, or see LiteCigUSA.net). And if you want a nice roomy PCC that can take manuals see this one:
http://www.nosmokeva.com/product/VPCC
I KNOW the polarity of that PCC is correct since I use the PCC w/ Joye 510 manuals. I recommend only manuals - the 510 manuals are totally sealed, safe from carto leaks, easier to get a good hit. These cannot use the Ego fast charger so label your Ego fast charging cables. These also cannot use low resistance attys or cartos. They use standard resistance and Boge 510 standard res cartos are great on them - I recommend thin juices. If you really want it to look like a cig, get the white 510 w/ red LED and get white or tan standard res Boge cartos from niteLiteVapor - then the 510 will be a white short ecig w/ tan or white filter. If you want it to look more techy then black 510 w/ blue LED and black Boges

2. KR808D-1 manual - this is a hotter ecig (3.7v) - see Vapor4Life or SmokelessImage Volt (only some of their colors are available in manual)

Mini's I've tried-

SmokeTip(KR808), V4L, 510, Volt

Best vape- 510. Hands down. After that, tie between V4L & Volt (no real difference as far as vape goes) last Smoke Tip because I think it has a hard draw.

Mini's can be expensive. General rule of thumb with batteries 1 hour per 100 mah of constant vaping. So you need a lot of batteries/and or pcc. There are only so many recharging cycles on any battery and since they're smaller they're charged more often so they're replaced more frequently.

I got my nephew a 510 with pcc at ivape for $34.99.

One of the good 808's: V4L's Vapor King (manual), Volt or Bloog. I can only recommend V4L because I haven't tried the others, but they certainly get good reviews on this forum so they must be winners.

I think they're as good if not better than any out there. Good CS. My mom who's elderly and can't see well is a terror with batteries and she has a couple of her original V4L batteries that are about 5 months old. The automatics were history after a couple weeks but her manuals hang in there. She needed extra batteries so I ordered her a couple from Volt and cartos. They're new so no idea how they'll hold up.
