For my native 3.7 volt devices, I use Boge LR standard cartos (1.5 ish ohms with a realistic 1.4 to 1.7 ohms range.
For my VV devices, I use Boge SR standard cartos (3.0 ohms is with a realistic 2.8 to 3.2 ohms range). I recently started punching them myself.
Why do I not use LR for my VV devices to keep it simple? Personally, I have found that SR gives 1) slightly (as in not a lot but some) better battery life, and 2) significantly longer cartomizer life. The LRs tend to have that 'burnt' taste much easier and much quicker...well, at least from my own usage. Also, you can attain a plenty high wattage on SRs...in reality, you can attain a wattage that is so high on SRs that almost any fluid taste burnt. I normally vape between 50 to 75% of maximum wattage on my Provari and SRs.
For direct dripping, I use a few different ones to get an idea of how taste varies by voltage and wattage...and I am amazed how much it does. For easy sampling, I use Joyetech 510 atomizers at low (2.3ish ohms) and standard (3.1ish ohms) resistances. It seems this aty is a standard within the community and I myself like it. For HR, I use some the BE112 'Pennstyle' aty (4.0ish ohms) as they give a HARD hit...however, I only use them at 5.7 volts or higher. I used a few other well rated atomizers here and I have no complaints, but many costs more than the Joyetech, and I personally havent had any issues with the Joyetch so I've mention them over the others.
I tried a few other cartos and none were as good for the money. At first, I got an order of Smoktechs that were awesome...but the next two orders were awful and so I would personally say avoid them as the current ones suck. BUDs are nice too. I do not use dual coil cartos as my experience with them has been horrible. The dual coils die much earlier on me, and they cost a good bit more...and with the advent of variable voltage mods, their purpose is much less than they were perhaps a few years ago.
