Is there a significance diff between mod construction materials? Copper for the least reduction in voltage? Brass always seems more expensive that SS? Anything compelling to consider?
For conductivity Gold, Platinum and Silver in that order. Copper would be the best when cost is a consideration.

no sorry, its actually silver (1.59×10−8), copper (1.68×10−8), gold (2.44×10−8), plat (1.06×10−7) in that order
I think I sparked more of a scientific debate vs. a practical one. I guess I meant to imply that I was sticking within the materials that mech mods are being produced these days: Brass, SS, Copper are really all I see, more or less within reason. If someone out there makes a solid gold mod, be sure to send me a link, i'll go ahead and order a few
I think I got an answer of copper though...which is what I suspected.
Thanks all!
My list is the order I WOULD prefer. Gold and Platinum don't have near the oxidation maintenance that Silver does.
If you do a Rhodium(?) coating on a silver plated contact, you wont have oxidation issues. my nemesis has silver plated contacts and its a year and a half with no tarnish ^^
That's pretty good but I suspect the plating is not pure silver.
