LOL... I know exactly what you mean, same here.My Nemesis clone and I have a love-hate relationship
The wife loves hers.Smok Magneto. Telescopic mods make battery switching and selection so much easier in my opinion. I can drop in a 18650 and bring a 18350 for backup without having to fiddle with tubes, screws and switches.
Pick a design and function you like. There is no "best mechanical clone". You're better off basing your decision on looks, form, and function ... then find the maker of the highest quality clone of that specific mod.
not the nemesis kick or not unless you like fiddling for a half hour every battery change.
Purely a question for those who use kicks, no judgement at all. Type can come across poorly, so I wanted to preface this.
Is it for aesthetics that you use a mech? I would certainly understand that, they are beautiful and I can't have enough. Otherwise, why not get a nice regulated mod? Just wondering.

On topic, I would recommend a magnetic switch, and unless you dislike it, copper. And +1 on the stingrays being excellent. I have an hcigar and a tobeco, and the tobeco is vastly superior, smooth out of the box. Stingrays are easy, and they are versatile, you can run a kick in all battery sizes. Funny I say that lol. Also, they are very compact, even in 18650, but with an 18350 you could probably palm it with a kayfun on it, too.
