Just looking for some suggestions. There are so many out there and I can't make up my mind. Going by what I'm looking for, what would your suggestions be?

1.) I don't much like the brass look. I'm more of a stainless guy. I have seen some that are stainless and have gold rings I like, like a 2-tone. But I like stainless overall.
2.) I will be using 18650 batteries.
3.) I will mostly be using my Aspire BDC tanks but plan to get a dripper and maybe a Kraken rba in the future.
4.) I'm not too concerned with the button placement. Bottom or side is fine.

That's it! Hope to get some good suggestions.

It's pretty evident which one I use the most.

Get the mixed Nemmy for the best looks, or get the brass Chi for the best vape.

    oh, alright

but unless you wanna build between .7 - 1.1, you would probably get a more consistent vape on a regulated mod.

I like the higher wattage of mech mods, but your vape "dies" with the battery

I've got a couple batteries and plan to get a couple more, so not concerned with batteries dying.

I'm still going to keep my Lavatube for long drives and such. I just want a mech for some cloud chasing.

What about the stainless Chi You? Anyone have any experience with it?

Not a big fan of my chi you clone. I have 2 of them a hcigar and a tobeco, they both suffer from the same problems. The screw that holds the switch together is constantly coming loose, if it falls out it leads to a auto fire. The switch also needs the bottom of the battery to have a insulator on the outside edges, the wrap on the battery needs to cover part of the bottom of the battery. On one of my battery's a hole wore into the wrap on the bottom leading to it firing my kayfun for almost 45 mins strait. AW IMR batterys have a much thicker wrap on them than most other brands so I only use them in it now, Panasonic's on the other hand have a very thin wrapper on them that wears out. The adjustment on the 510 pin for the battery also needs constant adjusting as slightly spinning the button while firing will screw in the adjustment screw. All around I would not recommend a Chi You unless you want to do some modding to fix these design issues.

It depends a lot on your budget but, personally, I would go for one of the clones out now. 101Vapes and mad vapes both have a lot of clone mechs or you can save even more money and go with fasttech . . but you'll be waiting. I am waiting on a nemi clone from Fasttech that I ordered on Feb 11 . . it still hasn't shipped . so it will probably be late March by the time I actually get it. If you want the hardest hitting mod you can get - get something in brass. Otherwise just go by looks and they all perform about the same.

I've only bought 1 "high-end" mech but my experience with it has made me decide to only buy clones from now on, lol. Let's just say quality and customer service vary at all price levels. Just because you paid a lot doesn't mean you're going to get anything better than a Chinese knock-off ..you might . .but you also might not.

    Hi,
Have both the nemesis and chi you clones in stainless.
Both are good but I prefer the chi because I found that I prefer the heft and top bottom ring protruding vs the completely smooth lines of the nemesis. But looks wise the nemesis win that one for me.
I suggest if possible see if you can check both out in person and see which you like the feel of better. Good luck :)

Even if you don't plan on going sub-ohm, you really need to have a basic understanding of battery safety before you start using mechanicals. There is no built in protection and you don't want to be sucking on a pipe bomb.
Even using the pre-made coils you can still very easily get a coil that will short out which is ok on a regulated mod but not on a mech. I had a pre-made BCC coil once totally kill an Ego battery once because it came with a short.
Where's Baditude when ya need him? He's the king of battery safety info.

Here's links to his battery blogs that you should definately read before firing up your first mech.
    Good luck!

Thanks again! I have a much better understanding of batteries now. I guess it's good that both of my batteries are IMRs. Also, since I never intend to go sub-ohm, I should be good to go. If I ever do decide to go sub-ohm, I know what to buy though.

Both of my batteries now are IMR 18650. One is high drain, one is not. Very good info.

Now, to decide between the Chi You, Nemesis and I'm also looking at the Electric Angel. Ugh!
