Ha ha ha ha.... The selection of "good" mech mods can fill a book. Maybe not a very big book, but still, there are a lot of them. You're question is so vague that a responsible answer will not be forthcoming. May I suggest that you at least provide a price range, and perhaps a type or style of mech mod.

$70 limit and telescopic? $200 and made of wood? All brass and $130 limit? Specific contact metal... gold perhaps? High end like a Caravela... or a Caravela clone will do? See where I'm going here?

Cheers...

well I would say around 100 dollars would be what I could do and the metals I don't really know what is best
A very popular mech right now is the Smok Magneto. It's popular because they typically have a minimal voltage drop, and like the much more expensive Nzonic, they have a magnetic bottom button. A mag button has a very unique feel to it... for lack of a better term, very "tactily satisfying".
It is a tele tube mod, made of stainless steel and will accept an 18350-18650 battery. You can use a Kick or Kick clone to regulate wattage and make it a sort of "set it and forget it" mech mod with either an 18350 or 18500 battery.

By the way, the first two numbers in the battery designation are the diameter in millimeters, the second 3 numbers are the length, again in millimeters. So, an 18500 is 18mm in diameter and 50mm in length.

There are also numerous Sigelei, HCigar and EhPro mods out there... all clones of more expensive devices like the Caravela, Bagua, Chi You and the previously mentioned Nzonic, for example. There are bottom button, side button and devices where you fire the mech by compressing the top cap.

If you have $100 to spend, then consider a Smok Magneto at around $50 or less, then batteries for around $30 or less (get only "IMR" type batteries)... then you'll need a decent, multi-bay charger as well, for around $20-$30. So... there's your $100, and you're ready to go, assuming you already have some sort of atty topper.

that is a good looking mod but I would rather the button on the side instead of the bottom like that if possible
Personally, I don't like side button mods, so I've done absolutely zero research on them. I would go to a vendor and look at their line of Sigelei, EhPro or HCigar side button mods and buy what ever appeals.

The Silver Bullet isn't a strictly mechanical mod, as it's got wires and a traditional switch. It's still a great device, though, accepts a Kick, and should work fine unless you're getting into really serious sub-ohm stuff.

I've got a K100 that I love. Telescopes, has good conductivity, and the big ridges make it very easy to hold and fire. If you want to go USA made, the Legacy is a great option, though it's not adjustable for different variety sizes. The new Super-T Simplicity series are an outstanding value, too. I can't speak to side button options, as I prefer the "grab it any which way and the button's in the same place" ergonomics of bottom-button devices.

I'm glad you mentioned the Kamry, because I always forget... ;-)

The K100 is a great, inexpensive BB mech... I prefer it's un-ribbed fraternal twin brother the K101 for aesthetics, but inside, it's all the same... and a first class clone.

Your "why I like BB mechs" reasoning is as eloquent an explanation as anyone is going to need or get... nothing left to add.

My first mechanical was a side button mod. Smoe "the natural" http://i1058.photobucket.com/albums/t418/Digicig/NaturalIvy_zpsf2223ddb.jpg

Something you should know about side button mods is that they accidentally fire alot!.At least with my experience. I often had burnt coils and scary hot mods because I accidentally placed the mod where the fire button was pressed for long periods of time. ie my pocket.

Im getting a rear button mod because the button accidentally fired so many times. And the lock is so annoying to lock and unlock.

just my 2 cents

ok so the silver bullet is good but not if I am planning to get it to sub ohm coils and i figured the side button would be better for not firing in my pocket as i am seeing it does so do all the bottom button mod have locking fire button and i want to think everyone for all the help i am really learning a lot oh and another what is the difference in clones and the real thing
