Is the new Vmod a lot less crappy than the old one? Because the old one got pretty slammed on as I recall...

They say that the new feeding system is supposed to have to fixed the leakage that a lot of people were apparently experiencing. Also, made it so that it could take 510 atties/carts instead of the proprietary atties/cartos that were required for the previous model. I hope you are wrong as well, but it comes with a warranty that hopefully I won't need to use.

Does anyone have any experience with their customer service?

I just get leery when I see someone post a ravingly positive review then go around recommending it to everyone that's looking for any kind of mod. I think you were pretty spot-on with your initial list, and should stick to what you've already researched. In the end it's your money, though, and your decision. All I can say is this: No one's ever had anything negative to say about the Silver Bullet.

I know exactly what you are saying, but I also accounted for who the recommendations were coming from-- (bjannr - 1,300+ posts; Phorbin who is extremely active on the forums and did a brief review on it; and AlmightyGod - 11,000+ posts)-- and they don't seem like schills to me

Sounds like you're giving a rave review of the SB & recommending it.

What's your point dude?

I understand what both of you are saying. It's a bit different with the SB because it is tried and true, whereas the Vmod is a new version of a product that previously had mixed reviews. I think am willing to roll the dice on it, want to sleep on it though

I was shocked to find out that the vmod was legit. The first post about it on ecf was from the guy who sells them pretending to not know what it was... and it looks just like a cigar lighter I used to have. The first picture I saw I swore was just a photoshopped picture of that lighter. When ejoker posted a video review, I just couldn't believe my eyes. It was actually a legit mod.... and I was surprised that an ecf moderator would buy a device that came to the attention of the community through obvious shilling.

If the Customer Service is there then it's worth a try. I've been through a lot of untested mods, though, and I've found that it's best to stick with the ones that are most recommended because they're usually recommended for a reason. Also, in my experience, bottom feeders are a fail. A simple carto tank outperforms a bottom feeder every time.

yikes, I just looked through that thread and saw a pic of the Vmod XL next to a cell phone. I didn't realize it was that large. It looked much smaller in the other pics I was looking at. Now I'm back on the fence

Did you see it next to a Pez dispenser?

I don't own sb but recall discussions about it from early on, and even recently, last few days, people I respect sounded against using it with stacked batteries. Make sure to research it, make an informed decision.

(It is a popular device, I'm just not sure on stacked, you might check to see what the manufcturer says about it.)
